Rain Crazy Go Go Go

El Bastardo 12-27-2008 01:40 AM

Light-to-moderate rain in downtown. Not enough to completely fix the snow problem but eventually it'll wear it down.

JSALES 12-27-2008 01:42 AM

happy that it's raining now

tonyvu 12-27-2008 02:15 AM

GOOD FUCKING GAME. The outdoor cover for my car just collapsed.... -.-'

*puff puff*

Anjew 12-27-2008 03:44 AM

shiet sorry dude... hows the car? pix!

SpuGen 12-27-2008 04:29 AM

My car is stuck in the middle of fucking nowhere because I was too lazy to stop and pull off the chains to drive on the main streets.

Fuck.

And I have work in 2 hours. Just taxi'd back cause its fucking cold.

It's not really a traction problem... it's the fact that the snow is so high that the car is beached and wont come down. Tried shoveling it out, but it's not happening. THis is retarded. I don't have much gas left either.

Harvey Specter 12-27-2008 04:48 AM

Rain was pretty heavy, now it's died down. It's going to take a few days of heavy rain to clear this snowfall.

muteki 12-27-2008 05:09 AM

Lots of snow still =[

Jermyzy 12-27-2008 09:28 AM

Same, this shiet is pissing me off. I got pissed getting stuck, so I started to dig for 1hour trying to hopefully get out. But still got stuck, my car is too low or the damn snow is too high. WTF.

LemonH2O 12-27-2008 11:21 AM

Scott Road is harsh flooded on the sides, but the snow definately doesn't seem to be melting.. all the snow on the trees have melted/fallen onto the drive way now

1983 Z28 12-27-2008 11:34 AM

Yeah... sorry folks, rain isn't going to fix shit. It's just going to make a nice slushy mess that's almost more dangerous than snow because drive with more confidence until they hit thta one nice big mound of slush that drags down a wheel so hard that the entire car ends up looping across the road. Like my buddy did last night.

Oh, and anyone with a lowered car will STILL be fucked, because the roads are already getting stupidly flooded in spots. I hit a ton of 6" puddles last night, and a few that were even deeper. I pulled into a gas station that had a small lake in its entrance, was at least a foot deep.

Lord help us if it freezes overnight.

syee 12-27-2008 11:38 AM

If you got a drain near your house, do everyone a favour and clear the area around the drain so the water can drain off. The flooding is only going to get worse if people don't help out and clear out the drains.

Mr.HappySilp 12-27-2008 11:52 AM

The wife and I just spent two hours doing this... and if any jackass thinks he's gonna park in my nice clear channel, I don't care how long it takes, I WILL bury his sorry-ass ride under the wet, soggy, slushy shit.

No kidding. I hear ya. I left some huge ass snow banks around my drain so people don't park in the spot I cleared. Enough for water to drain, but not enough for a car to park in

omfg i couldnt drive my car to work today because of the amount of snow/slush thats outside my driveway in the neighborhood. Took the bus to RC to find out that they changed the stops of the 98B line because of the skytrain construction, and walked my ass over to the closest stop in the snow in sneakers which was pleasant as fuck. Once i got on the 98B line i needed to head to aberdeen, and to my convenience, they changed the route of the 98B line as well. Walked my ass for 30 minutes heading to aberdeen and almost tripping every few minutes. Anybody know if the incoming rain for tomorrow is gonna be enough to let my car drive out of my neighborhood? ( 08 civic )

i live in richmond btw

shawn79 12-27-2008 03:56 PM

lol the snow is up to my knees and i just jumped off my balcony on to the snow...

antonito 12-27-2008 04:05 PM

Some deep puddles on Lougheed this morning, but they were cleared by the time I came home this afternoon. Good thing too, I saw 3 cars die after going through some of those puddles. Ouch.
