The Sedins play for Sweden.. Kesler for USA.. so ya..lol

Why not? He's a role player and that's how Team Canada has always been so successful. Look at the year Canada was counted out in the WJH. They won gold because they filled the spots based on role players. It's too bad he wasn't invited though.

I have a hard time Burke would make any deals with Gillis. We'll see tomorrow I guess. I mean apparently Pronger was going to LA lol!

Soundy 07-21-2009 08:30 PM

Why would Burke have any problem with Gillis?

Not really racist! 07-21-2009 08:49 PM

I like Raymond's future if he has linemates where he can have good opportunites.

This is just strictly my opinion. From what I've seen Burke can be extremely stubborn and loyal. Considering that the current Canucks management group fired Nonis who currently works with Burke. Add on top, the Canucks management did not invite Burke or Nonis to Linden's jersey retirement seems to add to my speculation. I have a feeling Gillis is not Burkes favourite person. And we've seen Burke get his hate on a la Kevin Lowe lol!

Let's just say if a deal is made it would definitely favour the Leafs a bit more. Again just my opinion heh.

Lucic and Cleary are also invited. Morrow (is he invited?) and Doan can play those roles too. It'll be tough for burrows to jump up the depth chart.

Tough one to believe cuz I think Burke should be able to get more for Kaberle.

who the funk are these 3 guys

Expresso 07-22-2009 02:30 PM

So NYI signed Biron today.

So they have Roloson, Biron, Dipietro, Macdonald, and Danis in goal. I'm guessing they are assuming that Dipetro is going to get hurt again hahaa.

You don't win with a team of role players. You only need one or two at most. Team Canada can't afford to waste roster spots.

Danis is gone and I don't think Macdonald resigned yet.
