Well fuck...

GoneGuru 11-21-2011 06:29 PM

Just got this phone. Everything is so overwhelming. Anyone have any links where I can learn how to do all this customization stuff, or at least have any tips/tricks I more than likely don't know about.

My Nexus S has locked up twice in the past week, and today the screen wouldn't turn on. Had to pop the battery out each time to reboot the phone.

Has anyone else had this happen? I'm running Launcher Pro ontop of standard Android.

Im planning to get this phone but ive had bad experiences with android batteries since they dont last more than one day.
Does anyone know how long the battery lasts?
(this includes using internet and apps)

!MiKrofT 11-21-2011 11:19 PM

It's completely dependant on your usage. Every android phone i've used has lasted me a day.

Battery life sucks balls. Im not even a "power user" and this thing just barely gets me through a day..

once you root it, you should get 15hrs+ easy as a power user

x2

My GF's iPhone 4S won't last a day, while I can get through 36 hrs with light usage.

Here's an example of my phone at it's longest uptime. It's an SGS2 but it'll give you an idea. I average around 20hours usually.

looks pretty normal for a power user
I average around the 26-27hr range
You guys have deep idle/sleep abilities on SGS2 kernels too right?

Yeah, my phone spends the majority of its time in deep sleep lol
But then again I very rarely go past 25% battery

LOL. No. See my phone signal bar? It's completely yellow.

excuse me, i'm trying to make my display brighter but everytime i do it automatically takes it off auto-brightness

is it possible to have it adjust to light while also being brighter overall?
