Rogers discontinues the Nexus S, starts depleting inventory | MobileSyrup.com

How can you tell a GSM version of this phone apart from the AWS version? I'm looking at buying one off Craigslist and I don't want to get shafted.

do you really need a screen protector? it's gorilla glass. for me i dont put my keys are loose change in the same pocket as my phone and it's been pretty darn good so far.

Watch out when flashing KF1. It knocked out the radio on my NS.
Had to find a special version of UCKF1 to get it back to work.

nexus s doesnt have gorilla glass...

I was using KD1 on Rogers for the last few months.
Good connection, good data rates.

I'm on UCKF1 now. I'll use this for a while and see how it performs.

What kind of 3G speeds are NS users on Rogers getting?

I was playing around with some of the radio versions.
I'm running Oxygen 2.2.1 with the custom netarchy kernel it came with.
Here are some of my results:

KB3
Ping: ~130ms Down: 2.4 Mbps Up: 1.15 Mbps

KD1
Ping: ~110ms Down: 1.7 Mbps Up: 1.15 Mbps

UCKF1:
Ping: ~300ms Down: 3.0 Mbps Up: 0.35 Mbps

if u look at the back of the phone behind the battery
i9020a is HSPA ver. whereas i9020T is AWS version

but im not too sure if its the same thing in canada
