I only got PewPew its a cool game, Sportsnet app (choppy as fuck), poynt, another game where you tap the screen to fly a ship cant remember the name, and thats pretty much it.

I hope with the new OS 2.0 they bring a shit load more apps. I was cruising my buddies samsung tab and wow their app selection on there crushes the playbooks I was shocked on how many shit apps were on the playbook and lack of apps as well.

OEM playbook convertible case on staples.com for $20 USD

Blurex convertible case (arguably better than the oem convertible) on brookstones from $39 to $14.99 with a 20% off coupon " BUYME20" , comes out to $18.98 shipped.

I'm thinking of making a Playbook purchase sometime soon.

How is the eReader on it? Which app does it specifically use and how is the touch dictionary?

Nlkko 02-12-2012 08:31 PM

The Kobo Reader is junk but you can buy the epub ereader for like a dollar with excellent features. I'm using that to read textbooks.

Razor Ramon HG 02-13-2012 03:16 AM

Polar Slide is a good game for $0.99

WTB playbook 16gb

is anyone selling a playbook?!

Razor Ramon HG 02-13-2012 04:14 AM

I'm going to wait until OS2.0 rolls out.. then decide whether or not the Playbook is worth keeping.

I heard OS2.0 has MKV integration, which is nice.

Apparently I bought one of the last 16GBs Playbooks for $149.99 according to my friend :lol

vafanculo 02-13-2012 08:48 PM

I got ripped off hard LOL. Paid $399 for my 32gb. And to top it off, my tablet has been freezing on me lately.

Firmware 02-14-2012 11:59 AM

New OS 2.0 will be released either FEB 17 or 21

Psykopathik 02-14-2012 04:41 PM

^^^already available if you sign up for beta testing. I did.

Firmware 02-14-2012 05:12 PM

Not talking about beta.

RRxtar 02-14-2012 05:34 PM

beta is not the complete os2 anyway.

rim needs to release new DM and then new bridge before os2 launch. DM is out. bridge could be tomorrow. with os2 on friday. apparently monday is a holiday in the states?

also those wondering about apps. 6600 new app developers have registered since RIM started accepting os2 apps plus all the android shit coming. granted a lot will be shit apps, but there is talk about a few good ones coming.

and imo, im looking for tools, not toys so a couple good ones like a good calendar integrated task manager will be great.

its going to be good to own a PB shortly.

GLOW 02-14-2012 06:43 PM

been waiting for an excuse to use this smiley
:awwyeah:
cant wait for more apps.

bobbyhill 02-14-2012 08:50 PM

just did my root + android sideloading, it's great and easy.

vafanculo 02-15-2012 10:16 AM

Picked up my pb and I can't upgrade the software on multiple wifi's... Even disabled firewall, and its worst. Can only get to 25% and then it fails.

Quite common problem on crackberry. Any ideas? I can't even do it wired it seems
