Any one on Rogers using the SGS2?

BNIB for $520? Where!? All the ones I found are $600

The only reason I paid full price ($671 after tax) was because i had $200 in Future Shop GCs which I wanted to use.
meh in the end after selling my SGS1 I only spent about $200

If you've looked through the thread a lot of us aren't on Bell and have purchased it and unlocked it for other networks.

its hard to find a sgs2 on craigslist for less than 600

Question for you guys:

When you're web browsing and you're finished, do you just press the home button and let the browser run in the background? or do you exit completely?

I'm curious because when in the browser and press the menu button, there's no option to actually exit the browser. If I want to exit, I have to bring up the task manager and exit from there.

I never had to do this on my nexus s :confused:

I use Dolphin HD. It exits for me. Not that it really makes a difference.

What differences are there in Dolphin HD and the main browser?

When u exit dolphin hd, you can clear cache and history if u want.

For the people who bought from bell, im guessing it was possible to wipe the phone from any bell crap cuz boy isnt all that just fucking crap...

I don't recall there being very much in terms of Bell stuff. Just a couple apps like the PVR and GPS Navigation. I didn't bother and flashed VillainROM on my phone immediately when I got it.

I read somewhere that home button and the back button are the exit. Android os automatically exits browser and saves last page you were on.

now to find a decent plan.. Sigh all this is soo complicated. I should make a rage comic about this...

i got my first data plan after buying this phone.
im on the flex55+ telus.
i think for a first plan, its pretty decent.

Anyone went from iPhone 4 to sg s2? Thoughts? Getting a new plan soon and the s2 looks attractive. This phone doesn't work on mobilicity right?

was talking to a friend and he totally regretted getting the iPhone 4. Just sold it and got the galaxy. Made me wanna get it too.

The Bell times telecom people have a share plan going on now for 110, includes call id 12gb data and some other shit. Looks pretty good, now just gotta find someone to share it with haha.

Phone doesnt work on moblicty, but i heard that a aws version is comming out. All rumors for now tho.

Sorry if you've answered this already (I kept up with the first 30 pages or so, but haven't been able to keep up lately). How exactly did you purchase the phone? Did you start a plan with Bell, and pay some sort of discounted price? Or did you outright buy the phone from them? What did it cost you?

Is there any way to change the double tap home button away from the voice control to something else?
