gdoh 09-03-2011 12:28 PM

I think it wouldn't be enough too support things like game but it would give you good battery life....try it out and report back :)

krazynuck 09-03-2011 03:41 PM

anyone know where to get a decent replacement of the front case ???

I dropped mine and it now has chips on the edges....

I looked on ebay but they seem to only sell the whole body

this is a sad day by the way :okay:

!Yaminashi 09-03-2011 04:01 PM

^damn sorry to hear that
I went out today and grabbed a case mate pop case which covers pretty much the entire phone
Besides the screen. You should look into it

The other variations have already been released...They were released a few weeks after the SG2 was released on Bell. I don't think ANY other Canadian carrier is going to get the SG2...They will get sub-models of it...inferior sub-models.

Infuse 4G for example is available on Rogers right now. It's Roger's answer to Bell's release of the Galaxy S II.

Nope. Telus is launching the Hercules, which is a 4.5" dual core and can download up to 42MBps
TELUS Samsung Galaxy S II Hercules surfaces again! | MobileSyrup.com

Rogers is also launching the LTE version of the Galaxy S2 which is also 4.5 inches

The going rate has been steady for the last month and half. $550-$600 is what most people have been selling it for.

If you're buying it for one of the upwards prices, it better be mint, preferably BNIB.

Thanks for the info ($575 is what I found for a brand new one). But seeing as CT10 said the LTE one is coming out, I MIGHT wait it out for that instead.

Yeah but do you really NEED LTE? Someone released the pricing and it was something like $45 for 1gb...

If you have the current 6gb plan, might as well keep it, it's fast enough already

Got my menu/return button on my phone to light up when I receive msgs: acts as a notification reminder with it blinking all the time. Better than having to always press home button to check for messages. :fuckyea:

dont think we have an AndroidOS thread so this seems the best place to put it ;)

FOSS Patents: Shocker for Android OEMs: Google document proposes giving Motorola time-to-market advantage to build Android "lead devices"

looks like google is going to give preferential treatment to moto?

Euro7r 09-09-2011 10:03 PM

Thank God that I have the blacklist feature on the S2. Some dumb bitch called my number and I said you got the wrong fucking number. She goes "Are you effing serious?". Then I said "YES, wrong number".

Kept calling me back, ended up blacklisting the number. Still calling me, but I won't be able to hear the phone going off, thanks to this feature. :fuckyea:

battery for me is better than average, atleast better than those that report how bad their battery life is.

i upgraded my firmware to 2.3.4, kg6 and battery life improved.
rooted and using titan backup to freeze unnecessary apps like kiesair, all the hubs, wifi sharing, buddies, im, etc.

now my display is always at 90/100, heavy game/video usage will still drain like crazy. never tried a full day of watching videos though, but at the rate i am getting, i think i can watch about 6 hours of videos before battery is completely drained.

ordered the 3500mah battery, gonna see how that works out. you can get one cheap at dealextreme.com, the case they give you on that site is better than the ones on ebay, plus it's made in the US i think.
