it is possible to use the new stock rom 2.3.5 with ninpo kernal?

im gonna give villainrom 3.0 a try after reading some reviews. im a newbie and this would be the first time im flashing my phone to another rom.

want to make sure I got the right steps, if Im wrong, can someone correct me?

1: Load the villainrom .zip file into the phone thru usb
2: Reboot into CWM
3: Backup my current ROM
4: Wipe Data
5: Install from zip and choose the villainrom .zip file
6: Done!
7: Profit!

I am currently running KG2, anything I would need to know? Do I need to get CWM recovery after flashing?

Looks good to me. Villainrom includes kernel with cwm.

Hey guys, just got my sgs2. I have to root it so I can unlock it. I'm going to do one of those one click roots on xda developers. If by chance I screw up and brick it, how do I unbrick it? I haven't rooted anything since my g1 years ago so I'm pretty rusty with android :/ what's the best way to root the phone? Thanks in advance I'll really appreciate the help

48% after 24hours? I wish I could get that. Push email over exchange drains my battery. I get about 25hours per charge.

i set k9 to search for email every 30 mins. i use to set it to every 3 mins.

Yeah I'm sure if I turned off push it'd be better but I use it for work heh. Also have 3 gmail accounts set to poll.

is this phone likely to get sold out once rogers releases it?

I installed villainrom3.0, bln control and vrtweak to make the sms led notifications work.

Indeed the LED does light up when I recieve a text, but it does not when I receive a missed call. Anyone know a fix to this?

Also, how do I make the battery up at the status bar show percentage?
