The guys at PhoneMore were super nice, their prices were competitive but it's hard to stay in business with all the operating costs of having a physical store and competing with subsidized pricing. My favourite store to date is Mobile Corner. Bought my Nokia N73 :D |
I heard that all Android phones come unlocked no matter what carrier you buy from. OR are they referring to Google phones specifically (ie. the nexus series)? |

Some Android phones are 'locked'. My wife's dad has one from China Mobile in China, and it doesn't even support the Android market! You have to use the carrier's market  And I know some American carriers have done similar things, only they don't allow 'sideloading' which means you can ONLY use the market. This is usually easily bypassed by rooting though, and is rare now. |
I don't think AT&T ever ended up allowing sideloading . |
ATT never did like sideloading apks Nexus line will always be unlocked Simstar is now SKmobile and only the Nexus line is factory unlocked my S was from Rogers, bt im on fido |

I heard the nexus will be exclusive to bell? at least thats what i saw on the craigslist ad Galaxy Nexus Pre-order TODAY! |
^ of all the places you trust you trust Craigslist? i think it's a time sensitive exclusive...rogers already confirmed that they are getting it.. and virgin is releasing it as well (i know... virgin belongs to bell) |
Rogers getting it in January |
will we be able to buy this from bell without a contract? if not are there any other places we can buy this from when it comes out rather than waiting till january? |
Officially Bell won't sell it off contract. However you'll probably be able to find smaller dealers that will. Costco Wireless Etc. comes to mind. |
If anyone cares, looks like the galaxy nexus shares similar screen problems to the SGS2: This link was on XDA https://picasaweb.google.com/1050106...27936172713522 |

No, look at the pictures. |
what kind of defect is the 1st picture? |
My cousin has a HK Galaxy S II, and there's a stock Chinese input that allows you to use the whole screen to write. Is there any way to get that on the Galaxy Nexus? I have a friend who has a Galaxy S here and he says he can't get that keyboard, so that might be the difference between me getting here and waiting for it to come out in HK. I'm totally new to Android, coming from iPhone, so I thought it was a simple click and install language pack. |

I sell cell phones. We're getting the Bell demo in very soon. I was able to play with our reps phone |
