bought about $200 worth of stuff from bb.com yesterday
Was gonna load up on fish oil and multivitamins but stupid customs rule won't allow it. I was able to get 3 tubs of ON whey protein though in different flavours. Everyone keeps raving about it but I had always felt it was too expensive ($80 in canada wtf). Finally gonna see what the fuss is all about.

bought some supps & clothes for me & a few buddies from bb.com yesterday
some clothes were backordered & I used their online chat to ask if I could have in-stock items delivered right away, they suggested making separate orders, I said shipping to Canada is so expensive so I was given $50 credit for the hassle

for you physio, kin people out there, is there any good method to nurse wrist pain? I am having pain on the proximal row/bone (see image) and im not sure what else to do aside from icing it and moving it back and forth.

I havent seen a doctor, but Im sure he might tell me to get a brace/support again. Any tips? I couldnt grip anything couple days back, but its not so bad now. Still cant put significant weight on it though

I'm no physio/kin guy but I know what works for me.
I've sprained my wrist pretty bad a couple times and I've always let it rest/strengthening exercises.

I start with a tennis ball, squeezing it, letting go, repeat. For maybe 5 minutes? Until I feel satisfied. Add more resistance by finding something with less give, i.e// lacross ball.

Second: I move to finding a glove or Thick elastic bands, put it over my fingers/thumb included, and gradually open your fingers out, like a claw. Let it back in a gradual manner again. Do this often again or increase resistance by finding a smaller sized circumferanced glove or add more elastic bands.

Third, I move to gripping weights heavily (thicker grip weights help imo), making sure my wrist are inline. And start light and work your way up. Nothing super heavy, just keep at it.

And simply not over straining it or putting it in an awkward position for a bit and rest!, (So no heavy benches, OH press, Shoulder Press, etc that puts your weak wrist in a potentially bad position) these techniques have helped me over and over again.

Side note: How did you injure it?

J.C 04-12-2013 03:57 PM

woo saw the surgeon today and got the okay to lift
i require very minor surgery, but its not urgent and i can get it whenever
cant wait to get back in the gym tomorrow :fullofwin:

did you buy the ON gold standard whey 5 pound tub? If so how much was it?

hal0g0dv2 04-12-2013 06:05 PM

its 53 dollars ^^^^^^^^

Fcukedd 04-12-2013 06:13 PM

I would much rather spend 200-300 on support and rehab equipment such as a proper belt, rollers or joint wraps.

Been spending a bit more time in the gym on obliques and calves which I've neglected for 2 years. Hurts so good

thanks man, GNC and xfuel sell 60 bucks when they have it on sale. I wonder how much they sell in the U.S in store like GNC. Less than $50 U.S dollars?

I have recently just started doing bicep exercises too. I always wanted to believe that doing heavy back movements would be enough because I hate curling but, at least in my case, it wasn't.

I usually do 5 sets of 25 on the leg press with like 30-45 second rest in between, then another 5 sets on the standing calf raises, but heavier weight of 12-15 reps

I also started training arms on a regular basis as well. Arms grew from 15-15.3" in 5 months because I never trained them :fuckthatshit:

I like barbell curls, heavy hammer curls, one arm dumbbell preacher curl.

exdee 04-12-2013 06:58 PM

Anybody have a cyst removed? I've been leaning out and i have 2 cysts on my left arm and shit is starting to look creepy. What I really want to know is how long is recovery

J.C 04-12-2013 07:13 PM

25 reps dam LOL
i already lose count doing more then 5 reps

15.3 is fuckin huge for your weight

and good on you for doing high rep calf raises, that's the way to go!

instantneedles 04-12-2013 08:45 PM

Just got a stack of cash from tax credits...

It did not even occur to me that I would use it for supps :fuckthatshit:

Might consider getting some chains/resistance bands/rollers/balls/belt/other shit

BTW I have not forgotten about the RS challenges. Just been busy as fuck with finals and shit. Been on lockdown for 2 days, and haven't gone to the gym since. It's already starting to kill me and it's only going to get worse, starting to feel some very strong withdrawal symptoms :tears:

Lift heavy on my behalf boys

Dreaming of lifting some heavy ass weight every single night when i sleep

Fcukedd 04-12-2013 09:19 PM

What sucks though is my arms look stupidly small unflexed since there's not much fat on them. Not sure if should flex everywhere I go

iknowthatfeel.jpg

I can't study if I know it's a gym day. I attempt my readings, but all I think about is lifting weights. I eventually give in, and decide to go lol happened on Wednesday where I had a lab final the next day :fuckthatshit:

But I did manage to PR on deadlifts - 365x5, and 315x10 after that. Studied way more effectively with gym out of the way.

Fcukedd 04-12-2013 10:42 PM

Are those the already discounted prices? It says the sale lasts from 13th-14th, but it's still the 12th.

I've been searching everywhere for an Inzer belt. Probably going to grab some knee wraps too..

EDIT: Checked out to see the shipping cost and it was $20 :okay:

J.C 04-12-2013 10:45 PM

they should be
you gotta add on about $10 for shipping + tax
mine came up to be about $120ish after everything at regular price :okay:
