Going to attempt 295lb on the bench in two weeks. Hit 275lb after my back workout today with ease. I think I could have gotten a second one, but I was just looking to maintain. Instant, are you still on Smolov Jr for bench? I might end up doing it next month. |
:considered:Hmm ive been doing partial ROM on my bench, but I do not arch my back. ill try ROM tmr |
Anyone would recommend a tub of protein thats good? I would do some research but I would like to see what people recommend to narrow my search down. My goal is to bulk and get fat generally and I'm hoping I would like to see some results in about a week I guess. Probably head down to popeye's tmr or GNC is better? No Cosco stuff unless its really worth it cuz I don't have a card and I need to go with someone |
Ended up buying spark people. Thanks though. Posted via RS Mobile |

Damn you guys have strong bench numbers. I havent hit bench in over 3 months due to a wrist injury and i could barely get 185 for 5-7. Fml Posted via RS Mobile |
What happened to you wrists? Don't worry you'll get that strength back up real quick! |
Was doing cleans one day and it landed weird on my wrist. Never felt 100% after that. Might go see a doctor. Posted via RS Mobile |

haha jokes man, I know where you're coming from... it's always hard to pack on solid quality lean muscle. For people on the extreme ends of the scale (skinny and fat) there's always the tendency to pack on weight as fast as you can, or lose weight as fast as you can and worry about muscle later. It's about the ratio of muscle to fat that you should really focus on... The bulking process imo should really only be for those who have a pretty solid training regime, are lean to begin with and have the mental effort/focus to be able to manage their weight effectively. Anyhow, if you're able to make a trip south of the border, I'd recommend body fortress protein... Compared to the more well-marketed brands out there like allmax and gaspari, it's protein content is slightly lower, but for its price ($15), you really can't go wrong. I can live with a few grams less of protein per scoop than to shell out more cash for overhyped supplement brands sponsored by athletes. After having used the brand for 2 weeksish, I'm definetly noticing the leaning out of my muscles and better repair of the muscles after workouts |

I think the main take home message of the program is that the higher the frequency you do the lift within the week, with moderately heavy weights, the faster your gains will come... Benching 3x a week is something most of us probably won't do, which is why this program will really force more weight on the bar |
^ Body Fortress's vanilla flavor taste pretty bad but it's hella cheap. |

It tastes awesome imo compared to the shit taste you get from like gaspari, allmax, ON, etc... but I guess everyone has their own preference the better tasting it is, chances are, the more carbs the powder has which is totally counterintuitive to taking it in the first place |
