Find it so true that the longer we've been working out the more insecure we get and the more flaws we see lol

BTW the RS BB Club is still open, if you want to keep a log that won't get lost, and keep it private. It is invite only, to people who actively participate here. If you want in let me know

Hey guys. Just picked a Marcy pm-3200 stacked home gym thing. Right now at local Costco's they are marked down to $199.97 Richmond Costco still had a bunch left

Strength - Marcy® PM3200 Platinum Home Gym 150lb Stack - Floor Models Only - Elite Fitness

Nothing fancy, but if you're a beginner, or maybe don't have time for the gym or whatever you're excuse is, this would be a great addition for a budget home gym

Don't wanna be rude but waste of space imo. Even if you're on a budget, that $200 can go towards something much more useful.

Depends what you're looking for. If you have the space, why not? Sure spending 3k on a bowflex is a waste since that's a lifetime of gym memberships. But I'm sure there are a bunch of lurkers on here who maybe want to start but never have. If going to a gym or something doesn't fit your life, this is a suitable substitute. And it's cheap. Plus I've got a GF who I'm gonna make start lifting. She's already pretty athletic but lazy for the pump

And nick, the MP protein is good, but a little too sweet i think

alwayslive 03-10-2014 11:33 AM

how much is the MP going for at costco?

320icar 03-10-2014 11:38 AM

$44.99 the 5lb container

Imo if you're gonna do something you might as well do it right the first time. No reason why beginners can't use free weights. I'm not against home gyms but I would rather spend the money on something that will get me results.

320icar 03-10-2014 01:19 PM

Fair enough. I have free weights and various other components. Next is bench + oly bar

instantneedles 03-10-2014 01:57 PM

yeah $200 seems to be quite the price to get started for lifting

picking a good gym that won't deter your interest is key

hal0g0dv2 03-10-2014 02:11 PM

plus u get to meet crazy people at the gym

Berzerker 03-10-2014 07:38 PM

But $200 is a year at SC! Did you quit SC to build a home gym?

320icar 03-10-2014 10:01 PM

sonick 03-11-2014 10:06 PM

I pay like $16/mo month to month at SC. They have less consistent pricing than Lordco lol.

red_sir 03-11-2014 10:18 PM

Damn that's cheap enough to justify a second gym membership just for a change of scenery from time to time.

320icar 03-11-2014 11:18 PM

LOL

In other news, I'm making a protein powder based loaf from scratch. Just sorts wingin it and tossin in ingredients. Wish me luck
