Whats your shoulder workout?

!Yaminashi 08-18-2011 09:30 AM

I always start with some sort of push, either dumb bell shoulder presses, or standing military press with a barbell

Then I do some lateral/cable raises for my rear delts and sides, some upright rows um um um um...sometimes shrugs but lately I havent.

I dont really know what else I can do. I dont go heavy though, I've found for shoulders I feel it way more if I go light with strict form as opposed to heavy with not full ROM

Fuck slept in, couldn't go gym. Now I feel like my day is ruined. Anyone else get that feeling? Or am I just being a lil bitch?

Gonna try and hustle a workout later tonight hopefully

As long as you dont "try and hustle a workout later tonight" and make it a "i will go for a workout later tonight" you won't be a lil bitch? :fullofwin:

Supafly 08-18-2011 12:10 PM

Get a good spotter and just push yourself trying to do heavy weight on the db presses with good form. Thats what I did and got really good gains.

I know, I honestly do my best to eat as much as I can during the day but its these damn rules at work

:okay:

mkings 08-18-2011 04:29 PM

Look at it this way : At least your maintaining, and not losing mass, so wait till you have long weekend, holidays, etc, then go rip it up :)

I've read that creatine draws more water into your muscles. During the break phase, does the water wash out of the muscle?

incubus 08-18-2011 05:42 PM

No need to load creatine imo

I know alot of u probably take creatine, but I stopped taking creatine as the massive water retention started making my face look fat!

Fcukedd 08-18-2011 06:59 PM

I literally get 0 water retention from taking creatine. :( I drink 4L of water a day, and I've seen no weight difference on and off creatine.

I personally say load, because creatine is the cheapest supplement out there lol so why not see whether you get any benefits from it or not.

XplicitLuder 08-18-2011 07:08 PM

man i miss the feeling from doing 3x12 with like 30secs break, cus now im doing 3x5 with 2-3min break for strength =[

mkings 08-18-2011 07:53 PM

Err. question.

It's been a year since i started training to get fit. 6 months in, i noticed that my left side develops better ; the whole left side practically. Now, a year in, and i notice that i have more mind-muscle connection on my left side too. I can feel the muscles more when i flex, and also when deadlifting, i can feel my whole left side more than my right. Whether that is because i have more mass on the left side, i dont know.

It's getting to a point where when i bench, the left side pushes up first, followed by the right. Or when i deadlift, the left side pulls first, and the right side goes down first as well. Anything requiring a barbell, my left side pulls first. My friends notice the movement as well.

I don't know what exactly is the problem. mind muscle connection? What should i do regarding this?

The_Situation 08-18-2011 08:04 PM

Use dumbbells? Youre probably right handed so youre left side pushes more to maintain the balance.
I've noticed this before when my benchpress was looking lopsided. I switched to doing db's every so often and haven't noticed it since

tubbyboi 08-18-2011 08:26 PM

Hey Guys,

Quick question, does it make a difference if i do HIT's first and then lift weights, or if i lift weights first then do HIT'S?

My main goal is to lose weight.

Thanks in advance.
