Coconut Water:

Spoiler!

What are you trying to do with coconut water? I don't see any reason you'd take it. It seems to be really low calorie and pretty high in salt. I've had it in india and it tastes like crap, its just really bitter/sour.

@ coconut oil
Why not just use flaxseed oil? Flaxseed oil is primarily unsaturated, so its pretty good for you, and cheaper/easier to get.
EDIT: NVM, didn't realize you wanted to use coconut oil for cooking

Flaxseed oil should not be used for open cooking.
Also, do not be afraid of the saturated fat content in the coconut oil. In the end it is better for you. It is stable enough to resist any heat damage.
Good info here...

Virgin Coconut Oil | Fresh Shores Extra Virgin Coconut Oil

and if you do decide to try it make sure to get the extra virgin coconut oil.

Soooo Chest day today. Started off with inclines... got up to 85lb for 5 reps. I think that's the most I've ever inclined. After that did flat bench and struggled with 100's No surprise as I was pretty fatigued already so I was impressed I could even do that. Then I did weighted dips with a 45 plate for 5 sets. I got usually 6 reps to failure with the plate on then I would shed the plate and do another 6 to failure. I felt fatigued but not "pumped"

Why is it you see huge bodybuilders doing reps in the 10-14 range but instead we're told to build mass to keep it between 5-10 reps...

Berz out.

Well, the post above was talking about coconut oil so i added coconut water to get some insight. Good to know Thanks

Coconut water compared to most sports drinks is a lot better.

Less calories, less sugar, higher amounts of potassium, health benefits-natural isotonic drink, detoxifying properties, and also lower in sodium content (this can be a pro or a con depending on what type of activity you are doing). I have yet to find a good price for coconut water and I personally don't like the taste. I know GNC sells it in boxes.

Is anyone else following the O this year? any predictions?

Anybody doing bikram yoga?
Just started doing some hotyoga just because my cardio for past 3 weeks have been super weak.
Started using shredmatrix by MP with my workouts and cardio aswell and its been going pretty well.
Anyone got some fast tips on burning some beer bellys down?

I've been noticing a bit of a difference lately, especially around the gut and love handles. Put myself on a strict diet, and I do pushups, ab work 3x a week before bed, and HIIT for 15-20min after my lifting sessions at gym the other 3 days.

So far so good. Getting closer and closer to fitting into my "goal" shirts.

I've searched for the answer to this, but I'll ask here.

Say I want to keep gaining in strength, but get more toned. If I keep lifting heavy, and drink a whey shake immediately after weights, wait 10 mins, then get on a treadmill for some cardio, will I lose muscle mass or is that like the ultimate lifehack to getting the best of both worlds?

Right now I'm doing cardio AM, 5x5 style lifting in the PM. It's eating up a lot of my freetime. I'm not complaining, but in a few weeks I won't be able to do this routine anymore.

Don't remember which part specifically, but he says something about cardio after a workout interferes with the recovery process.
Not sure if it's 100% true
