Hey, you guys seem to know whats going on when it comes to working out, so what better place to come for help? I'm just entering university, so this'll be my first time getting an ample opportunity to start working out. I did work out a bit in high school, but then again it was for class, so it wasn't that serious. Simply put, I need to hit the gym, people say it makes you feel better, and since I'm already paying for it, I may as well use it. Except, I don't really know where to start. I know I definitely need to work on my cardio. But then for weights, I don't even know where to start. My core and upper body do need work, but my legs are kinda big (probably from lots of plyometrics from football with no weights.) for information purposes I'm 6'0 240. I'm looking to gain some lean muscle and slim down, as my playing days are over. Any help would be appreciated! |
you already have lean muscle so I suggest cutting down to 10% bf then bulking up |
Also picked up a set.!! halogod...do you use them for compound exercises like: bench, deadlift, squats, cleans.....or is it more-so isolated arm excercises: curls, skull crushers, tri-extensions...... From what I've read you should do a lot of pushing excercises to increase your grip, once your grips strong then move onto pulling exercises Posted via RS Mobile |
i ordered a set of fat gripz too, now i see google ads for it EVERYWHERE now... |

I can see them burning out your forearms if you tried to use them too much. I know after a heavy back day, with deadlifts/pulldowns, by the time I get my dumbbell rows I can barely hold the DB. We'll see how they go. I just realized though my gym at home has all the DB's covered in a rubber grip so these probably won't work. But they will still work for my DL, and when I go to the gym at work. |
