J.C 06-07-2012 02:59 PM

started in september 2011, was 16, now 17
started with stronglifts then transitioned into starting strength, but most of those months i've been doing some research and correcting my form etc. hoping to make some serious gains over the summer :concentrate:

TypeRNammer 06-07-2012 02:59 PM

I think it's the only way to do them. They feel so god damn weird. It seems you have to do them extremely slow and controlled.

Damn i did it like stiff leg deadlifts, burns like crazy. Feels really awkward when you lower the weight because the bar grinds on your ass.

hal0g0dv2 06-07-2012 04:03 PM

speed work for back tonight, think im going to do rack pull for deads main.

The feeling i get when i work back and i am wearing my hoodie and i can feel my lats and back getting swole to the point its getting tight in my hoodie so i take it off and my lats are spilling into the side of my shirt
:sweetjesus::sweetjesus:

GGnoRE 06-07-2012 07:07 PM

Do you guys compromise your form when going for PR on deadlift?

If yes, how much do you compromise? slight bend in lower back?

hal0g0dv2 06-07-2012 07:12 PM

^^^ true day
last year 4 plate bench was :fuckthatshit::fuckthatshit:

TypeRNammer 06-07-2012 07:31 PM

Tried for the 95lb dumb bell incline chest, absolutely ripped my chest apart from it.

Did it as my second set....got a good solid 4 reps from it.

Last set was 100lbs incline, my friend had to spot me just to get it up, got 3 solid reps and a minor spot for the last one....

Not easy :heckno: but still managed

EDIT: instantneedles was pretty much right about the chest, we are quite similar in spec.

I'm thinking maybe it's because I am pushing the bar back, so it doesn't bash my legs on the way down. That tiny little bit of effort stresses the hell out of muscles that rarely get stressed. But man it feels good after :sweetjesus:

Today is 10RM day

Cable rows
Barbell press
SQUATS~!
And I'll do some CURLS~!

Thing about CURLS~! is, the smaller "curl bars" go in 10 lb increments, and I am surpassing 80 lbs for 10 reps. I don't want to go straight to 90 lbs.. so you know what that means...

Spoiler!

strykn 06-07-2012 08:16 PM
