nope, like I've mentioned before, I seem to have really swole/strong forearms compared to the rest of my body... That might be the reason why I am able to do much more for my dumbbell presses compared to my barbell flat bench. It really helps me balance the initial jerk up to the starting position..

I've done karate since I was a boy (8 years old) and some MMA stuff, and through all of that, calisthenics has been a major help for developing my forearm strength.

Just out of curiousity, how many of you add pushups, or weighted pushups even (placing plates on your back), to your workout routines? It's really a different way of training the chest since your entire upper torso is connected to the ground through your hands. I find that it really helps me stay proportional and symmetrical when im going through the motion, as opposed to the potential unbalanced upward motion of lifting dumbbells/barbells..

deadlifted 295lbsx1 tonight :woot2:

Verdasco 05-31-2012 10:52 PM

nice, did 255lbs @ 142lbs bodyweight :okay: could feel it snap any second (my lower back)

pinn3r 05-31-2012 11:17 PM

I could do 265lbs x 2 @ 120lbs body weight like 5-6 weeks ago; now I can barely lift a 245-pounder. Getting weaker :ohgodwhy:

spideyv2 05-31-2012 11:35 PM

Enjoying the vids people are posting to back up their stats

TypeRNammer 06-01-2012 02:51 AM

Did my dead lifts at the very end of my back exercises the other day, super exhausting :okay:

135lb X 10
275lb x 4
275lb x 3

Tonight I had a midnight session for chest, which is definitely not my normal hours :heckno:

Started off with the bench press...

135lb X 10 (warm up)
235lb x 6
245lb x 5
255lb x 4

Achieve my goal of doing 150% of my body weight, plus a bit more :fuckyea:

makes sense, throwing countless punchs & constantly having to keep your arms up probably attributes to your shoulders as well

yeah thats for sure. We do a ton of pushups and calisthenic strength type of training as well.. Yeah doing punches (having to contantly clench my fists) is what works the forearms, and yeah the delts as well..

Berzerker 06-01-2012 12:07 PM

I re-rack even if I'm going to be using them again. Why trip over em or cause clutter when the rack is right there?

Berz out.

Most sizes i got a large for the t-shirts, some of them actually fit really really well better then most of the ones i buy in town. the hoodies i go XL and zip ups i got XL also, i have not had a problem with the sleeves, shipping is quick and i did not get charged for duty also.

I think this has been discussed before, but I don't remember the answer: where's the best place to buy liquid chalk? my grip is suffering because of sweaty hands during deadlifts and I'll only be using it then.

Calves\ train twice a week one day volume and one day wit heavy weight and low reps
Will see results fast

vafanculo 06-01-2012 02:59 PM

So I used to take 2 breaks a week from gym.. But as of the last week, I've trained everyday from sunday until today, and I don't wanna stop anytime soon lol. Just having great workouts and cardio sessions..

Question is.. If my body is up for the challenge, can I keep pushin.. Or should I rest a day or two?

Would you say its about 1/4 the length from neck down to the bottom? Cus my delts recently got a bit more swole..
