So last night at the gym...my shoulder kinda gave out while doing flat bench. At the time, my right shoulder gave me some slight discomfort, so I pushed thru the pain and finished my workout. When I got home, the pain got progressively worse. And when I woke up, the pain is now excruciating to a point where I cannot move my right arm at all, or even sleep on my right shoulder. Is this something I should go see a doc/physio for? Or just RICE it? Do those hot/cold patch work? TIA Posted via RS Mobile |

i find that most ppl get pain in the shoulders from bench or not, if you do probably your best bet not to bench |
planning to start a personalized 5/3/1 for my squats and was wondering if you guys can give me some feedback :) week 1: 5x5 at 80-85% week 2: 5x3 at 86-90% week 3: 3x3 at 91-95% + 1x2 at 100% week 4: recover add on 2 assistance |

the pain is there for a reason and u shouldnt be lifting with it. i had a prob with shoulders during bench and it ended up being my rotator cuffs, i suggest u check it out and let it heal before u do bench again also the pain prob mean that ur form might need a little help kuz u seem to be doing guillotine presses, unlike the normal bench where ur elbows are slightly bent in |

And I'm guessing its my rotator cuff also..... Problem is, looks like I won't be able to do anything with my right arm for abit. Shoulders are out, back is likely out Might still be able to do curls and tricep pull downs. I guess it'll just be cardio until the it heals. Any ideas on timeline? Couple of days? Couple of weeks? Then, I got a different job and was forced to drop kickboxing. Still went to the gym, and a few months later the pain went away. Maybe your doing an activity that is directly causing the pain. For me it was KB. Try and find out what is causing yours. Try not doing bench for a while, and maybe focus on cables for chest instead. Might do the trick for you Posted via RS Mobile |
