To show how bad things have gotten, the Canucks are now trolling EmperorIS :lawl:

This franchise is so incompetent at every level it's funny and sad at the same time.

when you have your captain saying this

Spoiler!

It means you're doing a pretty shit job of coaching. It's gotten to the point where the scum on the bottom of my shoe this morning could well be a better coach than fucking Willie.

I'm not a big Kane fan but if they came calling for Gudbranson, I would actually trade him. I don't know what Panthers fans were so high on about this guy. He's not a top 4 dman in the Canucks and that's saying something. He's barely an improvement over Sbisa and he's managed to somehow make Hutton worse. Tryamkin in his limited time has already shown he's more physical and harder to play against than Gudbranson on his best day.

6o4__boi 11-16-2016 08:34 AM

Virtanen sent back to Utica

Thank fucking god there's at least a shred of common sense left in this franchise

Armind 11-16-2016 08:35 AM

I have yet to watch a game from start to end this season. :heckno:

Nabatron 11-16-2016 08:49 AM

Virtanen must have picked up his "stuff" then.

UFO 11-16-2016 09:21 AM

Somebody must have talked some sense into ownership that they can market the snot out of Stecher instead as the local home grown talent and he is actually making some fans excited.

Armind 11-16-2016 09:22 AM

inb4 Stecher gets traded. Kappa

murd0c 11-16-2016 09:27 AM

I think Hutton would get traded way before Stecher

Fixt

6o4__boi 11-16-2016 09:39 AM

I feel bad for Hutton.
He's getting anchored pretty bad by Gudbranson.

That chemistry just isn't there mostly cus Gudbranson is useless in defensive coverage and Hutton has to work twice as hard instead of focusing on being a puck-moving dman.

Shit like this pisses me off about Gudbranson. I've seen more grit from the one-ply toilet paper I wipe my ass with at work. Make it difficult for teams in front of the net my fucking ass. Even Sbisa can do better than this.

Tryamkin, I can understand his reluctance to engage because of inexperience. But Gudbranson? What the fuck are you even doing lifting sticks.

Hondaracer 11-16-2016 10:05 AM

Went to the game last night. Second game I've gone to since the start of last year.

Honestly, the environment in Rogers arena was better when it was white collar duds on their phones and the place was sold out. The lower bowl used to have some prestige to it, now the people that inhabit it look like the type looking for a fight outside a Granville club before heading home on the sky train.

Yea yea, it's now "affordable" but the place is a fucking joke.

Also it's really sad to see seemingly wasted talent like the Sedins, Hutton, Horvat, who seemingly get dragged down by players just sitting back and watching like Erickson and the like.

Why is Gaunce on this team? Lol like besides seeing his name plate does anyone ever notice him? Does he do anything?

He plays with Chaput and Skille and occassionally Dorsett. Can you blame him?
It's also his first full year as an NHLer...i still see him as a decent bottom six Centre/Winger given linemates that actually do things besides take up space.

Hondaracer 11-16-2016 10:16 AM

I know they've kind of changed his outlook into the checking forward, and maybe in that roll it's better you're not noticed, but then you don't play when they throw up a 7 spot on ya? Lol

Everything with this team is backwards

Nabatron 11-16-2016 10:46 AM

dorsett playing top 6 minutes on the second line makes noooooo sense!

To be honest, I think Dorsett in slightly underrated.
He has great speed, decent hands (besides using them for fighting) and is willing to throw his weight around and get to the front of the net. He has shown some offensive instincts too.

But at the same time, for the club to resort to using him on the second line goes to show how desperate WD is for wins as he knows his time as the Canucks bench boss is coming to an end.

Verdasco 11-16-2016 01:25 PM

i miss the 2011 roster so much

keslar in his prime, burrows in his prime, sedins in their prime, samuelson, erhoff

and now we see games like this........ its only been 5 years, how the f*ck did this happen? management needs to be fired, coach needs to be fired

RiceIntegraRS 11-16-2016 02:45 PM

^we were an offensive juggernaut that won back to back presidents trophy's and for some reason the management, media and fans thought we needed to get bigger n tougher to win in the playoffs. Fuck we can't even make the playoffs anymore. Can't win games if we can't score. Teams like the penguins and blackhawks are made up of scorers

That's what happens when you ice one of the best teams in the history of the franchise and then get clowned by a bigger, stronger team in the cup finals

Correct that you need to score to win. Bruins were bigger and tougher team but they did score.

We scored 8 goals in the finals over a span of 7 games.

They scored 23 goals.

Basically at TD Gardens, we scored 3 goals in 3 games. And they scored 17.

The success of the two presidents trophy years were really the Sedins along with Lu and Schneids. Kesler was good but his 41 goals had a lot to do being on the PP with the Sedins. We were still lacking secondary scoring imo. The 2nd unit was always out there so they Sedins can catch a breath.

Burrows, Kesler, and even Samuelsson results of the plays by the Sedins and how underrated they are.

Also, we missed out on two big shots with Hoff and Salo on the PP.

Now, the strongest shooter is Edler and who?
