Stecher is having a hell of a game. 1 goal and 2 assists officially (though it should be 3 assists as Skille clearly deflected the 1st goal). That last goal was an amazing display by Stecher. Rodin just had to tap it in. |
Canucks win! Time to plan the parade :troll: |

If Stecher continues to play like this, I think he has a good chance at making the team out of camp |
stecher was a beast its no wonder Subban got cut early so if Troy Stecher continue's to shine... someone is gonna lose their spot.. haha Pedan? Tryamkin? asset management bruhhhh anyways... that japanese aito iguchi child is making some strides |
Stecher was real good, for one preseason game. LaBate kinda reminds me of Burrows Liked his first two periods...don't think he'll stick but would make a good call up for the bottom 6 Skille looked pretty good and i think has a shot of making it if he can keep it up Juolevi was pretty invisible. Neither good nor bad...but he's definitely not NHL ready yet. Rodin looked rusty, but has shown some top 6 potential on some points. Lol Lucic looked pretty damn slow playing with Eberle and McDavid. |
that kids got some nice hands...hopefully he grows, either way he'll play juniors at least here. |

Kinda interested to see how long the line of McDAvid, Eberle, Lucic will last. |
hard to say...could well be a good top line in the season he seemed pretty uninterested in the game overall |
JB and asset management don't go hand in hand...knowing him he will put someone on waivers instead of trading them. I wouldn't mind him putting sbisa on waivers tho lol. I think stetcher so far beats out beiga, sbisa, maybe pedan...I would say keep tryamkin in the top 6 and let pedan, stetcher and Larsen fight for the final spot. Knowing JB tho if stetcher is lights out and Larsen is ok and putting up less points I think they will keep Larsen and put stetch in the minors. Just because JB traded a pick for him and wants it to work out and not look like an idiot... |
if they wanna carry 8 dmen Edler - Tanev Gud - Hutton Stecher - Pedan Larsen - Tryamkin Sbisa Biega Subban I'd trade Sbisa for anything. We've got enough grit and depth in defense now. Shitty contract for a so-so 3rd pairing dman at best. |

Everyone has said that Larsen has been underwhelming so far. I mean he had one good season in the KHL, but could barely crack a shitty Oilers lineup two years ago. Why is he being handed a spot on a silver platter? Would much rather see Stecher in his place. My ideal lineup would be Edler Tanev Gud Hutton Stecher Sbisa Tryamkin |
so far I think that's how the d lineup is looking as well except the Canucks are going to carry 8 D not 7 |
i think Larsen will get a long leash...easily longer than Stecher hopefully he doesn't become Bartkowski 2.0 maybe JMac can chime in but will Stecher, Tryamkin or Larsen go through waivers if they are sent down? I know Pedan has to so he'll probably stick around unless he really sucks I kinda think Etem/Granlund might be sent down. Watching those guys play is depressing. |

Larsen is waiver-eligible |
nice win for the boys! |
^ I really like how that Stecher kid plays with swagger. |
I played a lot of poker with Troy's brother Bob. I remember when he was telling me his brother had a decent shot of getting drafted but wanted to go to ND for school first. He never did get drafted but was happy to see him sign with the Canucks and glad he's finding his way. |
Brad Marchand with a short hand goal |
Every goal in the game was scored by a Bruin (Chara, Bergeron, Marchand) |
:lawl: This WC of hockey.... Canada was down 1-0 the whole game. Then Canada scores a PPG and a SHG in the last 3 mins to win the game. |
even the celebration seemed fake.. was a pretty entertaining game but once they won i walked away, felt so convoluted |
