So looks like we're still not screening at airports. Fantastic. https://globalnews.ca/news/6730469/c...eening-canada/ Quote:

Us is thinking about putting troops on the Canadian border. Who the fck wants to go to the US? I can imagine a bunch of troops getting sick because they are all living in tents. Quote:

And if they can't even have those measures in place, how are they supposed to enforce mandatory quarantine for those returning? |
I'm not sure why the screening hasn't been enforced. Obviously there is a protocol to it and its either not being properly communicated or who are supposed to be enforcing simply aren't doing their jobs. What's the alternative to the mandatory quarantine however? It's black and white and regardless of any screening its the travellers responsibility to follow that. We can't task a police officer to follow them home individually. It's the same as every other law. It's only illegal when you are caught. |

why do some seem to be celebrating US is adding 15k cases daily? did you celebrate 9/11 too? looks like schools will be open but most kids will be home-schooled for the rest of the school year https://vancouversun.com/news/local-...ain-suspended/ |

For anyone deciding to start delivering through various food delivery apps to make an extra buck during these times, make sure you call up WorkSafeBC to set up an account. You should have done so prior to COVID-19, but it is more important more than ever right now because if you contract COVID-19 through your employment, WorkSafeBC will look into covering you for any time loss/medical bills. The food delivery companies do not cover drivers for anything. I think it is the same for both Uber/Lyft. |
And trump still said everything is fine... |

China's numbers according to models should be about 20X higher than they are reporting, at least initially Even if this isn't the case, they started using a different criteria to determine a "confirmed case" after seeing that spike when switching it to match the rest of the world's. They do not consider asymptomatic people to be "confirmed". This is why they've had no local cases being counted in the last week. And as we've seen in other countries like Iceland, about 40-50% of their confirmed cases are asymptomatic. So China's number should be at LEAST double what it is, but most likely should be over 1 million. As soon as they open up for a week, it'll start all over again. Countries better keep their borders closed for real this time. Also they'll lie about it so we'll have to be vigilant and figure out where their new outbreaks take place. They will not want to "lose face" and you just wait and see the disgusting propaganda that comes out as they cheer themselves for "defeating" the virus while the world suffers, and show themselves off as saviors to the world. |

What happened to your principles? |
China closing their borders to all foreigners starting tomorrow, including residents, though I'm not sure anyone in their right mind would want to go there now. BTW they kicked foreign press out a few weeks ago. So there will be very little true information coming out at this time. It's up to Chinese people who let the world know what is going on, and that'll be a sacrifice as they'll be disappeared as soon as they speak up. |
So is Canada legit printing unlimited money till dec 2021 now or was that just a proposal like when JT proposed people had to get a permit to be a "author" when the rebel media guy published a book criticizing him. |

Welfare if you want to respond, do so in the Trump thread. Let's leave it at that. |
Sorry this thread moves way too fast for me to keep up. Coworkers in a group chat are saying you can’t carpool and it’s a $1000 fine if you have someone in the car with a different home address. True? False? I told them false because I haven’t found a credible source, but say it’s not a bad idea to segregate driving anyways with cheap gas. Quote:

Mixed asian cultures, but not a lick of white in me. Although four generations in Canada, I've got the best of both (asian / caucasian). Still wish I was black, lol. (Mi Hung Lo) |
