He did not participate. They changed the format this year where only 12 players participated in multiple events and earn points along the way with the winner getting a mill.

McLelland out in LA, Kings had a terrible month after a blistering start to the season. HC of an NHL team is a tough tough job! But McLelland is strange in this way, he has a short shelf life/effective period. Starts well with any team but then at some point team falls off a cliff as if the players flipped a switch and tune him out !!
