as lame as Stefan's miss was, the puck clearly hits some shit on the ice and hops over his stick. bad luck more than anything. |
^ that's why you have to slap that puck hard into the net and over any shit on the ice :lol yah, that ending in Ottawa/Leafs game was just pure comedy more than anything. It is just so satisfying seeing anything neg happen to the Laffs, hopefully, they lose all games Rielly is suspended. |
 |

Demko came in clutch in OT |
100% he did! I dunno what it is about the team lately but they don't look like the dominant team in the first half of the season. Not necessarily playing bad but seems like league is on notice and bringing their A game in preparation. |
Down the stretch it’s going to be about making adjustments to counter how teams attack the PP etc. So many of the previous garb coaches we’ve had and even Green never seemed to be able to make proper adjustments when other teams took away our opportunities. Hopefully Toch can come up with a few changes down the stretch here |
2nd PP unit has been more dangerous in recent games. Not sure why 1st unit keeps giving up shorties but they need to figure it out asap. |

Out of all the body parts he could have cross checked. He goes for the head/neck. I would say that is border line assault with a weapon. Sad part was coach Keefe defended Rielly saying it was appropriate. |
I'm here patiently waiting for the outcome of Rielly... But also wondering how did Zadorov's result come out just several hours after the game. Fastest suspension ever. |
Probably cause Canucks had a game the next day and Laffs don't play till Tuesday |
holy shit, we called up Jett WOOOO |
The in-person hearing doesn't happen until tmrw afternoon. Really curious to see how many games he gets. |
Unless Reilly's a smooth talker, I guess it has to be at least 6 games. DoPS needs to do an in-person hearing in order to give 6 games at least. So since they bothered to set one up, that must be where they're at, at the very least. |

My guess is no more than 6. I think he actually deserves closer to 10 but I highly doubt the DoPS will do that to them. |
I can honestly see it being between 6-10 games, you don't see in person hearings very often these days so I think the book is going to get really tossed at him. |
In person just gives them the option of going 6 or more. I think because of his clean record and that he plays for the Centre of the Universe team ... 3-4 games to stay home with his hot wife, Tessa Virtue. |
I thought in-person hearing meant a minimum of 5 games? Pretty sure I've seen that info somewhere before... |
Here is the legaleeze: like all policies, it's worded carefully and with flexibility. From NHL Player and Safety: What is the difference between a telephone hearing and an in-person hearing? If the Department of Player Safety determines that any Supplemental Discipline from an infraction will result in five games or less or a fine of more than $5,000, the hearing is conducted by phone. If the infraction might require a suspension of six games or more, the offending Player is offered the opportunity to an in-person hearing. In this case, the Player remains suspended until the hearing takes place. If the Player waives his right to an in-person hearing, the hearing will be conducted by phone. |
