They were conserving energy in the third period since they gotta play Avs tomorrow. While the wild was still pushing hard in the third. Desmith probably saw his team no show in the third and said screw it. Lol

of the 7 in the 3rd period, 2 were empty net goals. 3 were power play goals (2 of which were 5-on-3 where our centres were in the box). of the other 2, 1 was deflected off Cole trying to block the passing lane.

what it came down to were those 3 consecutive 5-on-3s starting from the end of the 2nd period.

I’m so mad at Miller in the last minute, he had Hronek wide open at the other point for a 1 timer and he chose to force a shot that missed the net giving them their first empty netter…. And then he forces a play along the boards with 3 seconds left and gives Kaprizov his hat trick with 1.9 seconds left… dogshit finish as far as jot being selfish (first) and team pride (second)

The first time that this team has faced adversity this season with this three game losing streak.

The defensive effort was there against the Avs. However, the PP still needs improvement.

Need more one timer shots from Hronek, Petey, or Boeser.

Better to face adversity now than later in the season. Team looked good yesterday on a road game back2back - just couldn't score. Petey has looked pretty poor since the all star break.

Thought for sure Hronek was gonna score on that slapper into the empty net lol
