finally! canucks looked a bit sluggish to start but later showed signs of life. they earned this comeback. good on them!

Wow, I suppose it could have been much worse. Hadn't heard about any cases of that type of disease in forever it seems. Good to see they already exceeded the gofundme goal of $50K in support of the guy.

These kind of fundraisers always throw me into a moral dilemna... as a fire fighter / first responder everything he does mediacally including a prosthetic is 100% covered, his salary is fully covered and his sick leave is unlimited... so I don't really understand what costs they need to offset?

It's tragic of course, awful thing to happen... but a $50k fundraiser to cover expenses? There aren't any. Might as well just call it what it is, a sympathy donation... but there's a million people out there with super sad stories of injustice, I guess only the popular ones are worthy of a fundraiser.

I didn't see Ken Sim donating $2,000 to any of the low income people he booted out of land he's helping get developed into luxury condos.
