Oh Hoagie :yuno: |
Kings defense is stifling, frustrating to watch |
This is some sloppy play man holy shit |
I didn't see the Wild game where they got shit on with 10 goals, but I can't imagine they played much worse than this Would be 6-0 by now if it wasn't for Demko And it's a home game! |
BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRROCK BOESER :awwyeah: Comeback begins! :awwyeah: |
LOL... |
welp, glad I wasn't able to watch most of that 3rd period... |
Worst game I've watched all season |
I am starting to be concerned with the team’s play. Their defensive breakdowns have been bad for some time. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
I was at the game, holy shit the last goal I think it was? Boeser was standing near the guy, it's so obvious to me that guy's getting the pass in the middle and I was like why is Boeser relying only on his stick in the lane that's ballsy, just go stand with him/tie him up instead... then the Kings forward takes a stride toward Demko, Boeser is looking right at him and then doesn't match up with him, buddy gets a pass dekes Demko and scores... Boeser didn't even react, totally emotionless about it. Like holy fuck buddy you literally looked like you were TRYING to let that guy score!!! Combine that with all the sloppy play, poor passes, missed open nets and Pettersson skating to the bench at the end of every shift with his weight on his heels looking like he would rather die than play another shift.... something is really wrong with this team right now. |
We're 16-2-3 with Soucy in the line up. There is no third line without Joshua. Looks like Hughes and Hronek had their worst game of the year. Really could've used Tanev. |
Time for a players only meeting? These string of bad games is not only a test of the players, and coaches, but also on our captain. Is our captain gonna get the guys together and talk things through? Leaders step up when things start to fall apart. Although Hughes had a bad game, he had plenty of other team mates who did not play a good game last night against LA. They have a three game road trip now. Then the team plays nine straight games at home. Good teams respond to pressure. March will be an indicator of how good this team really is. Playoffs start next month. |

What happened to the engaged petey being active? This floating doesn’t make him look like a 12 million dollar player.. losing to all these mid teams is definitely concerning |
I regularly noticed his line getting hemmed in for minutes at a time... at least 3x I distinctly noticed the Kings had 2+ min zone time when he was on and as you said 1 of those resulted in a goal. He's been yanked off PP1 too, constant befuddled zone entries and wrongly weighted dump-ins. If Hoglander wasn't on his line skating his ass off every shift they'd be getting their face caved in every shift. I like Hoglander, but he should not be the one driving any line Petey is on. He looks depressed, horrible body language. Reminds me of JT Miller last season, why can't the 2 of them get their shit together at the same time? |
Petey always like that. Remember that game in OT where he was cross checked and flop like someone shot him? Then he complains to the Refs. Then skates back to the bench defeated and depressed. At 12M how much cap is Petey going to take for himself. Remember we still got half the team to sign. lol. The bottom 6 (Fwd/Def) has help this team a lot. They should get their fair share of the pie as well. |
This is the Kopitar goal against Petey's line last night... just abysmal coverage by Petey, here is how everyone is lined up prior to the goal... Hoglander was with Koptiar but is staying with the far point like he should and releasing Kopitar to Petey, Lafferty has Doughty, Hronek is tied up with whoever, Myers is going to go check Byfield in the corner... Petey is in the middle, should be looking back over his shoulder to see Kopitar coming into open ice behind him right? https://i.imgur.com/6jDXEQe.jpeg Now Kopitar has his stick up ready for a one-time, not a great angle but he's a good player... Petey is just watching Myers and Byfield and standing totally still in front of Demko, doesn't check over his shoulder, not looking for anyone open... just watching the play: https://i.imgur.com/MgZSWxD.jpeg Kopitar scores... Petey just lowers his shoulders and puts his head back totally defeated... like someone else let him down or something. Just brutal. https://i.imgur.com/1DaqMeG.jpeg |

Yeah, was in the shower when the news broke. Bluetooth shower speaker, ftmfw!. Listening to City News 1130. I hate that 123 Dentist dot com ad. Fiona ads………….. nuff said. Need to powder my balls now, gulololol. |
|
I hope he regains form and this works out, he’s an absolute monster when he’s dialed in |
Finally, management doing the right thing. You have a young and very talented player. A huge asset to your business. Better not fuck with that. Plus, as far as I can tell, a decent person. Sends a nice message to the rest of the team………….maybe. |
What would a 'bridge' deal of 4-5 years cost the Canucks per yr, you think? $12-13M? 8 years is a hellavu long time. He's got full no movement clause. |
I'm very surprised his AAV is $11.6M! Pleasantly surprised, that is. He definitely could have pushed for $12M considering Nylander is at $11.5M. A shorter term deal would have driven the AAV up so this makes sense for both player and club. Well done by both parties imo  |
Took a bit of a discount good to get it done |
