ha, both valves on #3 are stuck open, so likely bent valves. could have happened when it was sitting on the workbench, when it got moved, whatever. i have a spare rebuilt head with better cams, upgraded springs, and new valve seals ready to go on. if it was one valve, it could be a spring, but highly doubtful for both exhaust valves.

move a few things around on the car today, changing my PCV system (waiting on a fitting and line from Mopac), moved the fuel regulator line from the front port on the rail to the back port (former position of the cold start injector), moved the brake booster line to it's own plenum source (-6 line).

things to do next are make shorter AFPR lines, the ones on there are waaaay too long; mount catch can where the charcoal canister was; make new PCV lines.

stock fan pulls around 2300 CFM apparantly, so two of these full blast might be overkill. im looking at PWM controllers now that can run the fans at less than 100%, dependant on temperature.

Did you clear it? I wonder if the basecoat needs to cure longer before applying the clear. Make sure the two are compatible, as well.

Or, you could do a few coats of base and wetsand before clearing it. Time consuming, mind you. Back in the day, a friend of mine spray bombed an entire car with white laquer, hand rubbed between coats. He won best paint at a show with it, so it can be done! :)

i used engine enamel paint, i was planning on just doing it without clear. i sanded the shine off of it, and it actually looks better, almost a matte finish.

i was just playing with the paint to see if i liked the color, i can sand it off and repaint if after your done welding.

Holy shit, I cant believe this thread is still around, glad I came back... My GF is having issues with her supra motor swap and the mechanic who is doing it. The swap is a JDM 2JZGE into a 90 turbo body... The motor is in and everything, but the guy doing the swap has been looking for a MAF sensor/plug, turns out the JDM motors use a MAP sensor, does that sound about right? Any ideas where we could get a MAP sensor for the motor?

The car is cranking, and dies after about 1 second of idle.... Thanks for any help guys!
