^,still,10......... but, yeah,I guess nothing wrong with that.... |
10..? how are you on a 10 year contract...? |
LMFAOOO ^^ that's juz messed up lol |
if Rogers got you to sign a 10 year contract, you just got raped up the $&# buddy...lol |
no,that's what I mean.........anyway,I got it.thanx! |
if im 6 months into a contract, is it too soon to call? |
no, 6 months isn't too soon, it's just that the chances of you getting a sweet ass plan are slimmer but it really depends on the rep you talk to. Some are easy like 16 year old girls. Some are a total bitch like that aunt you hate. |

back then, rogers offered 6months promotion thingy, unlimited calling, incoming etc... after that promotion ended, i called in |
Hey guys sorry to bump up this really old thread. I'm just wondering if anyone has been able to get a retention plan on a family plan? I want to switch it to two different plans and I'm 10 months into a 3 year contract. |
i didnt do it on a family plan but i got the same retention plan for myself and my girlfriend at the same time. |
dont ask for a retention family plan. they suck. get anyplan that you can w/ rogers to rogers and ur set. |
another trick that worked for me is call in once and they make you an offer say you need sometime to think about it or which phone you want call again later tell them again later then say yea i called in XXX time ago and you guys promised me this and that(whatever you want as long as it sounds reasonable) then your set im sure they dont write anything down or in too much detail i called like so many times till i got it |

Ok instead of getting a retention for a family plan will I be able to switch it to TWO separate plans? Family plans do suck :( |
so, how do you get a retention plan? Do you say something like, "im thinking about cancelling my account or porting my number to another company, is there anything you can offer me?" or just say "i want to cancel", and then they will just offer you something? or make a BS plan that telus/bell is offering me |

Any tips to approach this? |

all I did was call in and say I was wondering how much it would cost to cancel my account and went from there. I made a written note of what other people were being offered from what I read online and what I wanted and negotiated to a plan I wanted. I asked the lady if I could think about what I was was being offered and ended up calling a couple days later if I remember correctly and ended up getting a little more. This was back in March so I don't remember exactly but the jist of it is there |
So I was going to call them and go all whack on the electronic computer thing that answers your *611 calls... "How would you like me to help you? You can say things like, sales, account changes, or billing." "RETENTIONS....BITTTTTCH!!!" ...but then I got totally owned because apparently they're closed now. :( 8am to 6pm. At least they're open on weekends lol...otherwise I'd be screwed. How are working people supposed to call these guys? Sheesh. :p |
just call during work hours :p I did |
I can't talk while working.....only postwhore on RS. :D |
so whats the best retention plan i can get right now? im thinking of calling in tomorrow. right now i'm on a retention plan from maybe 2 years ago? $25, 250 daytime, free evenings after 6, free weekends, free caller id. and then i add $10 for text messages anyone got a good retention plan that comes with text messages and perhaps voicemail?? |
I think you can get at least text messaging thrown in for $25 these days. |
its easy for them to give u voicemail for free whenever i call in for a new retention plan, i usually lay out exactly what i want..and they usually give it to me. using a nice tone helps too |
