So our 3 year contract is up pretty soon (I think)
Basically my dad was saying that this is our last bill we'll get before they start charging us the $7 for caller id

Apparently we were just credited the $7 on each bill because they fucked up when we first signed up for our 3 yr contract.
So my dad tried calling rogers retentions yesterday when I wasnt around, this is somewhat how it went:

Dad: "Our contract is almost up, I'm thinking of going with bell because they offer some pretty good plans, what can you do for me?"

CSR: "Nothing really"

Would fido offer anything good if I said I want to come over to them? Right now my family is all on the same plan (we dont share minutes, just the same retention plan)

try for more credits?..i know they'd probably give u free R to R if you asked for it..but since network calling is $10 starting next week, you'd be paying $5 for it if they'd keep your credit.
and I guess also try to combine ur caller id and vm and txt to a bundle. My experience is if the credit does not specify what its for, if you take something off that was free the credits don't go away.
I took off vm, but I still retained my credits for it.

So I was wondering if anyone here could help me. So my sister and I are on the same plan atm (couple plan I believe) I've got my name down on the account and if I called fido retention to ask for a new plan does it effect both my phone number and my sister's? Also is there a way I could make 2 separate plans, 1 for me and the other for my sister?

I ended up re-newing, all they gave me was 100 extra daytime mins

So now my plan is

350 daytime mins
Unlimited evenings and weekends @ 8pm

+ $25 for 500mb BB data + $15 for smartphone value pack (includeds VM, caller id, who called, name display, 2500 text messages, 1000 picture msgs)

So my bill should be about $70 ish a month
No bad, but not great either

So I was happy with my negotiated plan on paper, right? Here's the rest of the story and I am NOT IMPRESSED AT ALL.

Unfortunately, the N95 wasn’t in stock at the time and they had to wait for it to come in. We waited three weeks and finally called them again and they said we could get it at a dealer and call in on the same day to change the plan we open up there to what my bro was offered. We go to the Source, get an N95-4 for $80. Sweet. Called in, got the plan, was told an N95 wouldn’t be mailed to us any more. Then things went downhill from there.

October bill was messed. Overcharged us like $50, we’re missing features we were promised, activation fee was there, had to call in and get them to credit stuff back to us. Bless the rep who did, as she said that my account memo once again had NO RECORD of what we were supposed to have. OK.

November bill the other day, same deal as October but the overcharge was even higher. Bless this rep too as she asked what they owed us and fixed the bill. OK.

Today we got a package. Guess what it was? The N-fuxxin’-95 we were promised back in September. Shipped out two days ago. I’m being charged $250ish with a $50 MIR thrown in the shipping package. That’s not the $99 they promised us back in September. W t f. Seriously, do they want to lose my business so badly? I’m tired of this bloody circus!!! :2finger::2finger::2finger:
