1) Heath
2) Greene
3) Cutler

^My current picks.

Anyways, gym was too fuckin packed today and I couldn't get a squat rack. Fuck. Gotta go in tomorrow to do my squats now.

RRxtar 09-09-2011 04:53 PM

^swap jay for kai

Berzerker 09-09-2011 04:54 PM

Ah I like my gym. Never have to wait for anything. No one ever squats or deadlifts so the rack is always free. At least when I'm there anyways. See the same 3 guys every lunch and they all do some weird plyometric shit so they never really use any of the benches or machines.

Berz out.

Tried power cleans for the first time today. Shit makes u sweat hard. Anyone at sportcentral around 6-730? I was the guy at the squat rack in the white wife beater

I'm not a fan of his "Kroc" rows (looks like a great way to blow your shoulder if you don't know WTF you're doing). However, I do agree with stepping back and analyzing your workout to try to figure out why you've plateaued. Simple, but sometimes we forget the simple stuff.

Personally, I've plateaued on deadlifts. I'm thinking of stopping that for a bit, and starting stiff-legged DLs and rack pulls. My lower back doesn't seem to like heavy weight.

Brianrietta 09-09-2011 08:45 PM

While I was in Ontario for school I got myself a pair of the 90lb adjustable powerblocks but now that I'm back here I'm looking to get rid of them as I have cast iron up to 70's (and the space to keep them). Craigslist is the obvious choice of where to sell them but is there a more fitness-focussed forum that would be worth posting them to? (Preferably local because shipping 180lbs somewhere :fuckthatshit:)

It's $5 a month, on-top of the $40 a month students are now required to pay for a u-pass that 85% of us will never use. It's cool for those of us that work out, but when you get down to the hard facts, it's not a spectacular deal. :okay:

Been doing new exercises now that I'm in my last weeks of cutting. These muscle ups are getting easier! My goal's to do ten consecutively by the end of October.

BULK UP SOON. Hoping to see big gains by going up 10ish lbs. Goal is to hit the 1100 lb club. Right now my 1RMs are: 400 DL, 305 bench, 305 squat.

Squat's so low because I'm coming off another knee injury. Fuuckkk.

Fcukedd 09-10-2011 10:03 PM

^ Just hit 9 consecutive muscle-ups ;)

God, those last couple reps really put a lot of strain on your wrist. Can honestly injure it during the transition to the dip.

My goals by December is to up my current weights (80-85% of 1RM) but in reps.
205lb for 10 bench press
295lb for 10 deadlift
275 for 10 squat

Respect! I started doing muscle ups last week and I've been able to get 5 up so far. My wrist are fine, just that I haven't done them to begin with, so I'm usually fairly tired when I do do 'em.

Cardio and lower body plyo tomorrow. Powercleans/chest on Monday. Can't wait!

EDIT: Updated fit pics up soon. Just needa transfer them from my phone.

I'm kinda happy today. Starting doing DL's 2 months ago because of reading this thread. Started with 25's on each side, took my time doing it right, and today I hit 315 x 1.

I can start relating to the plateau that's probably ahead of me in which I read is frequent in here.

Thats some sick progress man. It takes some people years to get to 315. If you hit a plateau start changing it up. Different programs / reps and sets etc.

RRxtar 09-11-2011 12:48 AM

took me a year to go from 35s/side to 425lbs. so thats real good progress for ya! keep doin what you're doin and concentrate on form. form on DLs is 50x more important that #s.

Question: if I am trying to lose weight, what's the best diet to go along with daily cardio? I am kind of new to this stuff so please include examples as well! I was thinking of a low sugar low carb, lots of greens, fruits etc, is that right?

Also, when would you start to lift during weight loss to tone out your body?

Thanks

anyone try microwave scrambled eggs? im terrified of such things but i love scrambled eggs and im hungry in the morning

Quote:

Microwave Scrambled Eggs:

In a 10-ounce custard cup, beat together 2 eggs, and 2 tablespoons milk with salt and pepper to taste, if desired, until blended.

Cook on full power, stirring once or twice, until almost set, about 1 to 1 1/2 minutes. Stir. If necessary, cover with plastic wrap and let stand until eggs are thickened and no visible liquid egg remains, about 1 minute.

NOTE: All microwave cooking times are based on a full power output of 600 to 700 watts. For a lower wattage oven, allow more time.

1 egg: 30 to 45 seconds
2 eggs: 1 to 1-1/2 minutes
4 eggs: 2-1/2 to 3 minutes
6 eggs: 3-1/2 to 4-1/2 minutes
8 eggs: 4-1/2 to 5-1/2 minutes

sounds groce.
scrambling eggs takes like 2 mins . heat up pan/oil while you beat eggs and add whatever you want into bowl , pour it in , scramble , boom done .

MindBomber 09-11-2011 01:44 AM

^I've tried microwaving scrambled eggs.

In my experience the taste and especially the texture was odd compared to regular scrambled eggs and I really didn't like them, I'm not sure if it's because my microwave is a pos or if it's just the way they always come out using that technique. Personally, I prefer waking up five minutes earlier and quickly making them in a pan with some pre-cut veg.

RRxtar 09-11-2011 02:48 AM

im a scrambled egg vet. i love em and have got pan frying them dialed. and ive got a legit breakfast with scrambled eggs, chopped up ham, peppers, etc, that i make when i have time. that being said, i dont have time to make them, along with all the other shit i have to do to get out of the house at 7am. :(

im not surprized microwave scrambled eggs would have a strange texture as they just sit there cooking instead of being stirred.

i wish hard boiled eggs didnt give me ungodly farts.
