There's a guy at SC who curls in the squat rack. Except he curls the bar + 45's a side. And looks like The Rock.

Saw a Guy DL 4 plates yesterday... I was mirin and jelly. Pissed me off though and now I'm even more motivated haha.

I need to change my workouts up I think I'm starting to not feel as exhausted after workouts. Plateauing so I'm gonna try doing some splits rather than just 1 body part per day. Sucks only having an hour though...

Berz out.

strykn 09-20-2011 06:43 PM

Do you guys think it's douchey to be doing deadlifts in the power rack?

I see people do it there a lot and I used to do it too but deads don't require a rack so now I just grab a bar and go somewhere else so someone else can use the rack to do squats. It's nothing compared to people doing curls there but it also takes up a rack when you don't really need it.

Do you lift the bar off the crash bars, or off the ground inside the rack?

Lifting off the bars wouldn't be called a deadlift; that's a rackpull. Lifting off the ground, while inside the rack is.... lol.

I lift off the ground while inside the rack. Again, just to take up less floor space and to avoid any potential of somebody not paying attention and knocking into me while I'm lifting.

I even get nervous when the guy in the rack beside me is loading up weights in his rack since they are so close together.

What gym do you go to? Sounds really small.

TouringTeg 09-20-2011 09:18 PM

Had some good motivation for the gym. It's amazing how much is in the mind.

Hit PR 5x5 265 squats, 23/25 bench press 190lbs, and PR 165 x 15 barbell row. Making good progress!

Heading out for my high rep (60 reps per exercise) day

Face pulls
cable chest press (standing)
Squats (60 squats... I am in pain already)
Leg raises

I am already sore just thinking about how I'll feel tomorrow :fuckthatshit:

hal0g0dv2 09-20-2011 10:15 PM

Face pulls are money
Always have been but they are great for upper trap

Love doin 100lb incline dumbell bench presses with no spotter with a crowd. :fuckyea:

Bonus points for being able to drop the weights back to my knees, get up, walk over and re-rack them... without having to throw them on the ground first.

Double bonus points when the big dude beside me doing 70s is using a spoter and has to drop the weights on the ground after his set.

I've been plateauing at 90lbs dumbbells incline presses. I can do a good 8 reps. Hopefully I can hit the 100lbs soon!

SkinnyPupp 09-21-2011 12:12 AM

How much of a gym noob am I? I forgot my gym clothes.

Ever want to feel REALLY fat and awkward? Try wearing ash grey shorts and shirt that are 2 sizes too small for you :okay:
