Ya I know. My chest is always my weakest, and triceps my best. Most of my upper body exercises have been above head, so it makes sense that my delts are ahead of pecs. Thanks for the feedback

Fucking hate having to deal with eczema on my hands. Every time the cuts start to heal, they rip again because of holding weights. They'll never go away :okay: Anyone have the same problem as me?

But once you have the swipe pass you don't need to re-buy it. I'm signing up for it tomorrow, but still going to keep my FW membership since i'm getting it for $24 a month (my aunts works at steve nash sports club in ditchmond, she hooks up, also gets me 3 hour sessions with top trainers for $100)

Anyways. Tried squatting after my 2 weeks of partying
5 sets of 5 at 225 .... I wanted to die, feels like i've lost a year of progress :alone:

Also tried squatting barefoot, I really really don't like it, it made my feet flare out way too much, and kinda hurt my feet. My friend at sportcheck tells me I need to get some Nike trainers. I'll be grabbing those tomorrow too, since squatting and deadlifting has completely destroyed my aesics

How is it so cheap? Does Kwantlen have a deal with Golds or can all students get in on this rate?

I would like a gym closer to home because Maple Ridge to SFU is not ideal.

in the golden era they all used to super suck in their waists to really make em small. reeves did have a small waist tho. even when compared to reg park doing the same sucked in poses. they seemed less concerned with showing abs and more about small waists today its more about flexing mad abs.

SkinnyPupp 01-09-2012 11:05 PM

Zane had a 28 inch waist at 200 lbs

@chin3se604 if u like getting sore, try constantly changing up your routine so your body is never used to what your'e doing, rather than doing the same workout everytime, that being said if u are making steady gains with your routine without getting sore which is common then stick with it until u plateau
Posted via RS Mobile

agreed.. going to switch it up a bit.. been stuck at the same weights for the last few weeks

SkinnyPupp 01-10-2012 12:17 AM

IKNOWHOWITFEELSBRO

i used to have it all over my god damn arms, neck, and behind my knees. i would wear turtlenecks in the summer just so people wouldnt be able to see it:heckno:

but then i just ensured after every shower i put on moisturizer all over the body. i probably began to eat better too...lots of water, fruits, veggies...all the good stuff i thought was nasty when i was younger. took me till about grade 10 to get over this.

if its on your hands wear you grip the bar, i would tough it out and wear some gloves (i know, i stopped wearing weightlifting gloves since i was in high school but bear with it)

just keep your hands moisturized at all times. if its still flaming red, use some cortizone (sp?).
one more thing, do the girls you finger bang ever complain?:troll:

Langley or Richmond?

I've been thinking about switching over to them from my current gym, because being a kwantlen student my membership would only be like $5 a month.

just be weary about signing any contracts at the richmond, langley and ubc locations. apparently its a bitch getting them to stop billing u.

tBlog - Gold's Gym in Richmond, BC sucks ass

just bought a 1 month teambuy voucher for golds richmond with no intention to sign up in the future because of that. just need a gym for the month before vacation

One of the best articles I've read on TN, everyone should read it.

And don't be an idiot - read the whole thing.

no shit there are risk involved with deadlifts, bench press, squats, good mornings

i agree with behind the neck exercises and upright rows, those are only a matter of time when someone gets an injury, right form or not

SkinnyPupp 01-10-2012 05:23 AM

I'd personally stay away from Gold's, they have some shady business practices. Aside from their "personal trainers" with fake credentials, one of my friends, she was a member of Golds UBC, she gave a months notice to cancel her membership after her term was up, Gold's rep at the location said not a problem, we'll stop with the pre-authorized payment withdrawals.

Not surprisingly they kept withdrawing monthly fees for 5 months after, even after she raised hell with them after the first month after cancellation this happened. Gold's rep at UBC and the manager there just kept saying oh nothing we can do about it even though you gave us notice to cancel and in writing, all the payment stuff is handled by Gold's head office in Texas. She called Gold's head office in Texas, they gave her the run around telling her to talk to Gold's UBC, bascially after 5-6 months of headaches, she finally got them to stop and issue refunds.

Then the same issue happened to another friend who was a former member at Gold's Burnaby.

Same shit happened with another friend of mine. :accepted:
Shit is not cool.

TouringTeg 01-10-2012 07:40 AM

Same thing happened to an ex at Fitness World aka Steve Nash Fitness Victoria. She even WORKED there for a while and they still screwed her over.

I squat and deadlift without shoes. Gotta be careful that some noob doesn't drop a weight on your toe though. I am very cautious when others are near by.

 Did you read the entire article as SkinnyPupp told you to?

What's the deal? Has Contreras sold out?

Hell no! I wrote this article to make a point. If you know enough about anatomy, physiology, and strength training, you could make a case for why every exercise in the book should be avoided. Conversely, you could also make a case for why every exercise in the book should be performed.

Phozy 01-10-2012 08:42 AM

, read the whole thing.
He's saying as long as you lift properly, and be safe while doing it, keep lifting.

Tnation has such good articles, the writing skills are superb :o

Thanks for the good reads
