My shoulders are really hurting, too much for fish oil to handle :(

I don't know what's going on either. It's not like I can stop doing pressing motions.

Anyone have experience like this? Glucosamine? :suspicious:

Maybe your not giving your body enough time to heal. Overtraining perhaps?

Have you been doing more weight on bench and presses
Heavy weight will cause this

A year and a bit ago when I was heavy bench pressing and shoulder pressing my shoulders were on fire from heavy flat bench

SkinnyPupp 05-16-2012 10:10 PM

Actually I stopped doing really heavy about 3 weeks ago. Doing db instead of bb most of the time too. I am especially sore overnight, i wonder if I am just sleeping on it wrong

However, I'm starting to have a sharp pain after squats/deads in the lower back area, but only on the right side. I only feel the sharp pain on one rep, the first heavy rep. It feels like a bone, an inch or two above the glutes. Any idea as to what? If it continues ill be heading to the doctor to see if I can get an assessment. Hopefully won't have to stop 5x5.

That's the same problem I have right now but it's a dull pain for me

Santofu 05-16-2012 10:12 PM

Le FUUUUUUUUU. I had to shed off 20lbs off squats because my back kept using its muscle to push... I was doing the same weight for a week fine, until now I can't even lift it up properly. I'm now pushing 60lbs

Sometimes, you have to listen to your body and know when to rest and take a break before you go back and do the exercise again. When you listen to your body, it will reward you as the next time you do it, you will do more and do it better.

What part of your shoulders? Is it focused on one area or just soreness everywhere?

I've had my share of shoulder injuries over the years so depending on what it is, I can tell you what I did to deal with it.

J.C 05-16-2012 10:45 PM

:fuckyea: 5lbs away from benching my own body weight

It's like right inside the joint and only hurts when I move a certain way. Like the "lateral raise" motion, even though I never do those

XplicitLuder 05-17-2012 12:37 AM

back in vancouver, can't wait to start gymming

Supafly 05-17-2012 07:07 AM

Right inside the joint as in the ball and socket or the supraspinatus muscle? If you put your arm across your chest, does that hurt?

Anyways, if the bone feels like it hurts, maybe a bone spur in which case suck it up and it'll go away.

If it's the muscle, rest and find a good massage therapist to finger the shit out of the muscle (it hurts like hell) to help break up with fascia.

For those of you wondering about knee pain, try this technique. I tried it this morning and it worked wonders... Rolling out the IT band really helped relax my ligament and joint overall.

Not happy with my bicep curls. Seated with dumbbells I can do a set of 5 (each) with 55lb'ers but that feels like it's not very much. If I tried 60's I'd probably explode trying to get 2-3 reps a side.
Y U SO WEAK BICEPS? :yuno:
