I'm 37 and I'm the strongest I've ever been natty. That being said I never really tried to work out natty to gain size I just got to a point and then injected. I came to the realization a month or so ago that it's impossible for the average guy to get big without Juice. Don't get me wrong you can develop a good looking physique and be bigger than the average guy but to get "big" you need roids. I'll offer up a reason for this thought. I've been big. 235lbs and at that time people were like "holy fuck your big" That was after Deca/Sust. I was the strongest and biggest I've ever been. Now after just over a year of working out natty I realize the limitations that life has and I know that I will never EVER get that big without juice again. You can offer any kind of opinion you want but if you want to look at how big you "think" you can get without juice simply go to a natural BB show or google natural BB pics and look at the guys on there. Those are pro guys who dedicate their entire lives to bodybuilding natty. Even then you can tell the TRUE natty BB's from the "I'm natty for the show" BB guys as there is a limit to what natty can be. Don't take this the wrong way. I just hope that you all realize the limitations of bodybuilding and don't set unrealistic goals that down the road could cause you to lose interest in lifting. Berz out. |
Here's a formula for natural genetic potential from leangains.com: Height in centimeters - 100 = upper limit of weight in kilograms in contest shape (5% bodyfat and dehydrated). Example: Someone that is 5'10" or 178cm ... 178 - 100 = 78 A 5'10" man has the potential to be 78kg/171lb at 5% body fat (180lb at 10%) Edit: Add 5-10lbs because the above formula is for a dehydrated state. What's My Genetic Muscular Potential? | Intermittent fasting diet for fat loss, muscle gain and health And I've heard elsewhere it takes 3-5 years of consistent training to reach your genetic potential. |

Where can I find lifting hooks locally? My finger injury means I have barely any grip at all in my left hand (middle finger is injured), so I don't think even basic straps will work as they need to be held tight by hand. |

eh.. last few times I've went to the gym I've felt like I've been going for consistency instead of training with intensity. I think it's time for me to change my routine from babylover's SS, it was a great run. Achieved all my goals in terms of strength. Finished off with: Squat - 285 x 3 Bench - 225 x 5 Pendlay Rows - 180 x 5 Front Squat - 230 x 5 Overhead Press - 135 x 5 Deadlift - 350 x 2 Weighted Pull-Ups with 35s for 6 I think I may just go with a high volume split to emphasize hypertrophy for a while. |
Had a cold this week, so skipped my wednesday workout. I am going today, even though I still have a cough and runny nose. Probably shouldn't, but oh well. This is my third incomplete week in a row, due to various issues. |
