I ran a crew for years for Great Canadian Landscaping Company. RRxtar owns his own Landscaping business... If you want it... you get it. Eating is the hardest part and staying Hydrated is crucial.

BRB, 10 hour shifts
BRB, one 30 minute break to eat
BRB, sore as fuck after a day of work with no energy to lift after
BRB, can't take a PWO or else I'll be up all night and can't sleep even though I have to be up at 6:30am

^this is when protein bars and shakes come in handy. If you're still working they don't mind you chewing lol.
Maybe try to get a properly timed nap (correct waking cycle so as not to feel groggy) instead of pwo after work.

My boss was being an ass cause i literally took 5 mins to walk to my backpack, add some water to the shake, and down it.
I was done with that job real quick.

I goto the gym 5 days a week and lift heavy and hard. mon, tues, wed, fri, sat. And I dont do bullshit workouts.

My day usually goes work 7:30-5:30. shower, eat dinner. leave for gym at 7, home around 8:45. make lunch, some computer time, etc, bed at 10-10:30.

Eat A LOT and Sleep A LOT. If you feel 'over trained', sleep more. If you have to goto bed at 7pm on a Sunday to catch up on rest, that's what you have to do

It all comes down to how much you want it. and I want it all

as they say, "the only thing standing between you and your goals is the bullshit excuses you keep telling yourself as to why you can't"

If I ever told one of my guys he couldn't grab a quick snack or drink, Id expect him to quit the next day. No one should work for a dick like that. But if I catch one of my guys sitting in the truck slowly drinking his water or eating a snack at 9am, I let him know hes working 15 minutes late for wasting my time. If you want a snack, go grab a snack but look like you're eating or drinking it with purpose, don't look like you're using it as an excuse to take a break. When I see guys eating while they work, they tend to get leniency quickly.

As for being sore after work, how long you been working there for? If you just started it usually takes a couple weeks for your body to get into the groove of working hard. Happens to me every March.

Araaadi 07-30-2012 08:35 PM

Personal best today, doing bench

225 x 5
230 x 5
230 x 5
230 x 5

Finally benching my body weight.

I start my first shift tomorrow. My buddy who works with the same company gave me a heads up on what to expect. He said days could last anywhere from 6-12 hours, and that I'd most likely be too sore for the gym after. He also told me to be prepared to shit in a bush (lol), cause there isn't always a bathroom in the area.

The pay is decent, so I'll see how it goes.

SkinnyPupp 07-31-2012 01:57 AM

I seriously want to train on rings some time in my life... Hopefully I can find a gym one day with training.

Excelsis 07-31-2012 05:34 AM

crossfit :troll:

SkinnyPupp 07-31-2012 05:37 AM

I wouldn't mind going to a crossfit gym... just not for the crossfit :lawl:

My friend's wife is a crossfitter and olympic lifter... she would probably be in London right now actually, if they didn't have a kid (she was told she was unable to have a baby.. WRONG!). She is solid when it comes to olympic lifting and diet. Just don't ask her how to do pullups ;)

hal0g0dv2 07-31-2012 07:53 AM

Rings are fun we have em at our gym
Used them once lol

G-spec 07-31-2012 08:12 AM

lol, fck some of these olympic bodies crack me up... i think sprinters first and swimmers second have the best lookin overall physiques, like the type of physiques you could keep until you're old

for a cyclist this dude's legs are huge, these r German teammates, and your typical cyclist legs on the dude on the left, and lookie this dude on the left, shit must help in the uphill sections bigtime, raw power

strykn 07-31-2012 09:13 AM

Dude on the right is NOT natty

hal0g0dv2 07-31-2012 09:32 AM

Dude on the right has a fuckin tumor

G-spec 07-31-2012 09:46 AM

^ cue the Arnold "it's not a tumor" gif

but really i dont know, what are the odds of a cyclist not being natural given their extremely strict doping standards ?
maybe he's new and doped prior to making himself eligible to compete in world events, who knows...

thats what Brandon Roy did, nba all star with degenerate knees, doctors told him if he wanted to avoid a wheel chair by 40 to stop playin ball, so he took almost 2 years off pumped his body full of shit that's banned and illegal in any pro sports in order to fix himself up, and now he's back.

i think in cases where injuries are present illegal substances should be allowed for the athlete to use, i mean this benefits absolutely everyone and only people who would be against it would be the anti doping agency dickwads who have never seen a gym or played a sport competitively in their life

SkinnyPupp 07-31-2012 09:57 AM

There are tons of pics of Robert Fostermann around, and his quads are never THAT big.. jesus fucken christ. His junk looks like the size of a thumb too, so I guess you could add 2 + 2 and figure out that he's obviously taking creatine stacked with beta alanine

I always said that the perfect body would be the upper body of a rings specialist, and the lower body of a sprint cyclist

And those dudes do no curls and no leg presses :considered:

This is a lot more reasonable (same dude)

http://www.veloveritas.co.uk/wp-cont...nns-legs-2.jpg

http://www.roadgrime.com.au/file/forsterman_jpg_128.jpg

Still amazing, just not tumorish

Assume it's a PS. The background of the wall looks different on both sides of his left leg, and the right leg is easy enough to edit.

instantneedles 07-31-2012 10:54 AM

what. the. fuck.

I don't even. How do they get their legs that fuckin big without doing leg presses and leg curls? Just cycling (play on words) alone? Their legs are on par if not bigger than what most bodybuilders have...

XplicitLuder 07-31-2012 01:08 PM

k so im currently in the process of losing fat (doing hypertrophy with intense cycle sesh for cardio ) and its been working great so far. But lately i've really wanted to go back into strength training to feel alpha as fuck :okay:, would you recommend it or naw ? my main goal is the fat loss..so if that means just sticking with hypertrophy then okay

instantneedles 07-31-2012 01:19 PM

you could always go for layne norton's power/hypertrophy program?
