Verdasco 03-02-2013 09:11 PM

i cringed a bit on your back , hope it's ok!

anyone have any recommendations for mass workout program?? I use to do the layne norton a few months back when i was 145lbs and now i dropped back to 135lbs in one month. Layne norton definitely was more for body building.

Fcukedd 03-02-2013 09:12 PM

Regardless of form, mad props for the video. Proved me wrong :fullofwin:

Isn't mass and body building the same thing?

well technically yes it is, but i want to focus on a program on gaining more weight while at the same time doing "touch ups" on the body. I can do a crazy hypertrophy program with my current weight and be toned as fuck but that is not my focus this season.

Fcukedd 03-02-2013 09:57 PM

Can anyone recommend a belt that's not too expensive, yet will get the job done?

Kind of on a tight budget so I don't want to spend too much

lift heavy / gain weight
touch ups on the body not to sure what this means

then why are you doing crazy hyper trophy?
why not do heavy push press or like heavy deads or heavy ass squats
if you are going to the gym and doing crazy hyper trophy that will do nothing for you unless you have some crazy solid mass on you

doesn't matter what program you do, gaining weight = eating more. if you lost 10lbs on PHAT it's because you ate below maintenance level calories, not because of the program structure

leme kno if i misunderstood your question

Elite FTS

Not a fan of the big letters but this belt looks pretty good for the price. I have a similar belt with a single prong but I think the lever on this belt is easier to use.

I kinda have my own modified version of PHAT
Incorporated more strength and the hypertrophy days are used to build a bit of mass, but to also help lagging muscles that I can't fix by doing squats, deadlifts, bench catch up. I chose the hypertrophy exercises based on what I think is lacking for my squats, deadlifts, bench.
I incorporated a lot of bench and other chest work in my program because my bench press is seriously lacking. Assess your own strengths and weaknesses and build your own program around them
PM me if you want to see what I'm doing right now

simple and effective workout

upperbody compound: bench, ohp, or push press
olympic lift: power cleans, hang cleans...clean pulls, snatch etc etc etc
lowerbody compound: front/back squat or deadlift
accessories: whatever you want, dips, pullup, rows, etc

repeat 2-5x a week

Hey guys thought I would share this with yall. He's one of my good friends from medical school here in Manchester and when he showed me this video of his weight loss progress I was shocked as fuck and gave him mad props. Quite the dedication to loose almost 100lbs. Now me and him workout together and I'm showing him the ropes to strength and mass building. That boy needs meat on them bones.

Enjoy buds

Is there a store that sells locally for around that price?

If not, I'll just drive down to PR...just so busy with school lately :okay:

Thanks for the suggestion!

Inzer Forever 10mm Lever Belt

Not the cheapest belt, but definitely one of the best
Will last forever
They're in Canada and they're coming to the Nationals at the Richmond Oval and you can order now and they can bring it here to save on shipping
and they even have custom colours which usually take forever to get
It took me 4 months to get my blue one lol

Matlock 03-03-2013 11:43 AM

Has anyone tried this spud inc belt? Looks pretty cool

http://www.flexcart.com/members/elit...c-belt-400.jpg

http://www.flexcart.com/members/elit...d=299&pid=2840

Thinking of trying out a belt as I get my squats over 300

Was also looking at inzer and titan leather lever belts, but I heard some people have trouble with their ribs when deadlifting.

J.C 03-03-2013 11:52 AM

I have no problems with my inzer when deadlifting

I just recommend spending like 15-20mins just rolling it up, it really helps
Its rock solid when its out of the box

I doubt it, most local stores carry pretty crappy belts.

This is another option if you don't want to drive to PR and don't mind a single prong belt.
Rogue Econ Weightlifting Belt
A few dollars more but will ship in Canada. Shipping is about $11.

The Inzer belt JC posted looks pretty nice too...

strykn 03-03-2013 12:55 PM
