Wtf lol. Playoff team here |
It was a close game (remember, it ended in overtime) Don't be tricked by the fact that one scored 2 goals quickly... |
Yeah... that was pretty bad. Avs were coming off a back to back game while Canucks had 3 days off. |
solid 40 minutes. a little unraveled in the third, but Colorado is a good team and they found a way to battle back. delay of game penalty with 9 seconds left was just dumb, there was no need to throw it high. OT goal deflected off two players, pure luck. |
What I liked to see, and was mentioned on the broadcast a few times, was their zone entries and cycling seemed to be simplified a bit, and it seemed like it was actually quite affective. So some good coaching from Toch |
Another Canucks loss. Canucks were trying to make the pretty passing plays in the last minute of the game to get a goal to tie the game. Hate to see Ovie score the game winning goal against our team and get closer to Gretzky’s scoring record. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
1st in-person game in many many years and it was a garbage one. We only looked dangerous for the 1st 5 minutes, and the last 5 minutes of the entire game. |
Was Petey playing? The dude was invisible again. |
^ yah he whiffed on several passes at crucial times with the goalie pulled |

This team is giving me more and more confidence that they're going to get a first round exit. Just the combination that the west is pretty strong this season, esp after the trade deadline. And Canucks have nothing to show for but a failed project with Lindholm... and now we need to worry if the other Elias is going to show up either. |
The Canucks added Zadorov when nobody else was moving anything |
Another concern is our lack of size and physicality in our top 6 forwards. We really need our bottom six forwards to play hard physically with bodychecks and grit for the playoffs. Unfortunately, Dakota Joshua is on LTIR. Our team misses his physical play. He's a good player to have on the team with his ability to play physical and contribute offensively. Yes, our defence is good in terms of speed, quick puck movement, size, and physicality. We need the team's offence to go into high gear. Take for example a superstar like Ovechkin. Although he's 38 years old, Ovi turns up his game when his team needs him. His two goals against Calgary last night were from tipping a puck, and his signature one timer slap shot from the left face off circle. Washington is in a playoff spot now. Ovi is on a heater now with goals with three straight games. Does our team have a game breaker like Ovechkin? Heck no. Therefore, we need balanced scoring, and offensive contributions from all four lines and from our defencemen in order for this team to go deep in the playoffs. |
Joshua's out for longer now. Hopefully everybody's back healthy for playoffs |
Good first period. Canucks actually look dangerous and dominant again. Powerplay didn't score but also looked dangerous and confident. If they can keep this up for two full periods, they'll win. |
That Hughes play was magical too bad no finish! |
Millers gotta stay on that left slide slot on the PP, was looking deadly distributing the puck from there |

The "whoooooooooooooooah" thing the fans do during power plays is hilarious.. Are they the first to do that? |
Refs just ignoring Buffalo penalties in the last 5 mins |
GG! Sabres have a good goalie and the giant hobbit is still good |
Great game from Petey in a long time. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
solid victory tonight  I was hoping MTL would pull the goalie and give Z at chance at a hatty :lol |
