Honestly, Garrison has not been good at all thus far. He's looked slow, and his shot always ends up missing or hitting traffic, but I guess everyone on our top 4 hasn't been too good in general, though.

Depending on how the Hawks game goes, I'd try slotting in Barker to see if he can help the PP out.

I'm sure the same thing applies to Garrison, like Ballard. It took Ballard a couple seasons to get used to things, like adapting to the play style, d partners and coaching. We were all saying how much Ballard sucked when he first arrived here. Arguably Ballard is one of our more solid defensemen at the moment. The pairing of Tanev/Ballard is most reliable at the moment! Give it some time. Garrison was never promised to be like an all-star defensemen, just a "replacement" for Salo.

and this is where i miss ehrhoff the most on the PP. he was so good at directing puts through to the net. edler is too passive for my liking to be on the first unit. will not blast the puck when he's open, cannot feed the puck through when he tries a wrister.

THat's not the rules. If the preds CARRIED the puck back into their zone while an Avs player was there first, then it wouldn't be offside. But deflecting doesn't count.
