I'm currently with fido and would like to port my number over to Rogers. My billing cycle is on the 12th of every month and my contract ends on Dec 31 2013. What is the procedure to port over my number to Rogers without having to pay an overlaying month with 2 carriers? Posted via RS Mobile |
300 Weekday & Unlimited Evening/Weekend 6GB data 2500 text, caller ID, voicemail $49.63 without tax Lost credits for unlimited incoming/my 5 so axed them out. I called in to see how much budging room they give on a friendly conversation asking for recommendations. The person I spoke too wasn't very open to suggestions, kept pushing the $8x dollars for 2GB special. Maybe today wasn't a good decision to call in (Black Friday deals for the phones). |

deals :fullofwin: 5s for $99 and 5c for $0 I will negotiate again to get a better data plan |
on the website, rogers charges a connection fee of $15 for hardware upgrade, do you think rententions can waive that cost if I call in? |

rep too... Usually they cant but a good will credit will bypass the system :fullofwin: |
Been trying to reduce/change my plan to match Fido's plans for the past 3 days. Amazed at how the prices skyrocketed. Before it was pretty easy to switch plans, but now you have to pay $70 minimum with internet plans it seems |
well.. I did a quick experiment with WIND MOBILE on the $30 unlimited plan and found that I wasn't even exceeding 400mb in data per month. I didn't like the dead zones in WIND... they need to get more coverage within their own coverage areas. Anyways, I ported out to ROGERS with my unlocked iPhone5 and snagged their 'Bring your own device' deal AND on a corporate plan: Unlimited Local Rogers ONE number access Enhanced Voicemail Unlimited send/receive txt/picture/video for Canada .10 cents/min LD calling Canada/USA call forwarding call display, call waiting 3GIG Data NO CONTRACT $50.00 before tax. anyways, its a pretty good deal and I appreciate ROGERS coverage areas and to me it was worth the extra cash monies. |
so Rogers offers a hardware upgrade for the s4 for $149.99, how much do you think I can bargain with them if I call into retentions? does anyone know the # for retentions/loyalty? |

Just signed 2 year contract with Rogers, coming from Fido. BC Government plan / Corporate Not too different from what I had with FIDO retentions plan, but I wanted a new phone, and FIDO didn't have what I wanted, and wasn't offering premium phones for $0 on 2 yr contracts. $65 / month Unlimited local calling Call Display / Voice Mail Unlimited picture/video/text Call foward / Call waiting 500 mins CDN LD 3 GB data OR 1 GB North American data $0 HTC one w/ case and extra accessories. |
so I just got this plan today for $70 before tax calling into Rogers: Got a samsung S4 for ($99.99) with this plan: -Unlimited Canada calling -caller ID -call waiting -basic voice mail -unlimited text message/video/picture -500mb of data They were not willing to lower the price of the plan nor the price of the S4 nor able to waive the connection fee of $15 *the person i was talking to was from the hardware upgrade department but they said that it was the same as customer relations also I dont think this plan is cheap, can anyone chime in ? I asked them for incentives since I was a Rogers customers for 5 years but they still didnt budge, they told me the connection fee for a phone was $35 and lowered it to $15. The phone for $99.99 is the cost that Samsung supplies them for and it is subsidized through the monthly plan of $70 |
70 bucks before taxes for 500mb.. that is some expensive plan.. |
^ that's horrible :( Fido has $39 400mb right now.. no reason they can't match it for you. |
Anyone can do HUP, make sure you're talking to retentions next time.. |

I got 5 gigs in my plan for 55 bucks along with 350 minutes and unlimited texting.. It's a corporate plan but still your plan is expensive Posted via RS Mobile |
does anyone have the direct # for rententions? from what I heard, they are super hard to get to because there will be people in front who claim they can offer what retentions offers. *this was my case from yesterday, when I asked to talk to retentions, they said they were the hardware upgrade department but still can offer what retentions offers |

he has been with rogers for 10 years though, do you guys think I can negotiate that deal with retentions? |
