Fucking Rogers FUCKED up my bill again.

300 weekday minutes
+100 Bonus Minutes
Unlimited Evenings and Weekends after 6pm
Unlimited Incoming Calls
Unlimited text, picture and video
MY-10 Canada Wide
Caller ID + Visual Voicemail
6GB LTE Data + Tether

for like $46 before tax. Credits expired and no one would renew it, had to escalate it to the OOP and after a 30minute conversation, he finally agreed to give me one big lump sum of credits of $800+tax since he can't renew the credits.

If you know TVM, you would rather get a lump sum NOW than to spread it out over 3 years. Does the lump sum negate the costs of the expired credits for the duration?

I still have like 18 months to go, so no phone upgrade or anything.

Did you have to sign a term?

anybody know if can resign through retentions and get the s4 with early hardware upgrade waived? if you have more than a year left?

Hondaracer 05-09-2013 09:27 PM

Rogers really fucking pissing me off lately, i'm a 12 year customer of their Cellular services and for some reason now my billing is ONLY via email, even though i distinctly remembered opting for CONTINUNING to receive paper billing..

so i dont receive an email for like 3 months, then i get 1 email saying I owe like $180

login and it says i only owe $120

phone the idiots on the CSR side and explain that how am i suppose to keep track of my billing if i only receive 1 email every 3 months, i can forward the email trail to somone if they wish to see it etc. I want paper billing as with paper billing i never once missed a pay period and now i'm missing three in a row?

she quickly looks up my "problem" then says oh i'm sorry if you want to go back to paper billing it will be $2 a month charge.. hmmm ok so negate my savings on my plan to go back to somthing i never opted out of in the first place? how about fuck off, i've setup recurring payments just paying my average bill, fucking clowns

I know TVM but I'm not sure what I can do with 3 separate lump sums for my expired and soon to expire credits.

Unless I take the credits and cancel afterwards + pay the subsidy off of my iPhone 5 and jump ship

So no, because I still have 18 months to go from my current contract.

Just called them and got offered the same plan, without the 100 international msg though. $50 + tax = $56 as well. Better and cheaper than my current plan, so I'll probably take it, since Rogers doesn't make you "resign" anymore for switching plans.

Purely 05-12-2013 12:30 PM

Called again..

$40 +tax
1000mins, unlimited after 6pm/weekends
unlimited text, call display, voicemail
500mb

Pretty happy considering how much I was paying for my old plan..

racerman88 05-12-2013 02:27 PM

They are still offering the same plans from a month ago when I last called for voice and data.
Sucks that Rogers is not working harder to keep customers.

saiko 05-13-2013 10:23 PM

Contract ended, my promos all ended a while ago. Spoke with retentions today, my second time calling in.
$43-$10 credit (not sure how it goes, haven't gotten my bill yet.
- 300mins Canada wide
- 400mb
- unlimited text, vid msg, international,
- vm(3 msgs only, kind of sucks), call id, call forwarding etc.

I figured its okay, fido has a good deal, $39 450mins, 600mb, same stuff. Overall I'm happy.

Has anyone tried asking Rogers to match the $39 plan from Fido? My contract doesn't end till October but I wouldn't mind signing another contract and getting a hardware upgrade if they can match it..

^I don't think I got it, but doesn't really matter for me.

Btw, did you talk to retentions? What is your current plan and what did they offer you?

dicecube 05-14-2013 05:45 PM

^

as of right now

Unltd anytime minutes
1GB data
Call Forwarding/Call Transfer
Call Display
Unltd Text/Pic/Video Messages
Unltd Canada wide calling

$55+tax.. around $62

basically the same plan Fido is offering but with more data and minutes
still pushing for a cheaper price

Purely 05-14-2013 08:06 PM

You can do better. I got offered that exact plan for 50 plus tax, but I declind

bigzz786786 05-14-2013 09:45 PM

I'm thinking about switching to bell soon. But I can't seem to find a deal like mine.

200 daytime mins
Unlimited evenings/weekends after 6
2500 text msges
Unlimited incoming
Unlimited networking (Rogers and fido)
Caller id/voicemail/call waiting
6gb lte data
$61 after tax

I think I would be fine with 2gb
The only reason I'm sticking with Rogers is because of the plan. But there reception and service is total bullshit

Purely 05-14-2013 10:07 PM

^Which area are you usually in? Reception with Rogers is generally pretty good imo

bigzz786786 05-15-2013 11:57 AM

I live in west richmond
