^^ thanks for this Dice... got mine upgraded today to 2gigs total from 1gig. took a mere 5minutes. i'm on the even $70 plan so I qualified, no questions asked. |
So do you have to be actually paying $70 or more per month or does your plan just need to be advertised as a $70 plan? Posted via RS Mobile |
would they give me another gig if i'm on the 6gb data plan? |
^ Extra min? Posted via RS Mobile |
so im now at 12 attempts they wont give me the gig they say i qualify but i end up loosing all my discounts so for the extra gig i would be paying 85 dollars a month before taxes instead of 65 |
^ how much data do you have already? its not worth it for that extra gig to pay 20 bucks more unless you are strap for data. probably wait it out until the next data promo. you go over alot? |
If I have 6GB do I qualify to get 7GB? LOL |

1gb and now i see all over tv that rogers will match any other providers plan so y cant i get the fido deal? |
Haven't seen many posts here.My contract ends Dec 7, but I'm looking to upgrade my plan and phone. Current plan: 250 Bus Advantage w/8pm E&W -6pm Early Evening Calling -Unlimited Eve & Wknd Minutes -250 Weekday Minutes -6pm Early Eve & Wknd Calling Included with My Plan Detailed Billing Call Display Network Features 2500 Sent/Unltd Rcvd Text Msgs -500 MB Enhanced Voicemail I pay 65 bucks all in. The new 2 year plan being offered is: -500 canadian minutes -unlimited local calling -3 gig data -call ID, VM, call waiting, conf call -unlimited text/picture/video This plan is $70 bucks (all in) And then I can get the iphone 5 on a 2 year plan at $249.99 after a $50 rebate. The upgrade fee of $80 will be only $30 and then $15 processing fee. So the phone $249.99 + 30 + 15 = 300 bucks approx. I kind of want to wait for the 5S, but I feel this plan may not be available later. Sorry added in the data from the current plan I have. Thoughts? |
Unless it was an oversight, I do not see any data in your original plan. Relatively speaking, 5 dollars more a month, you are getting quite a bit more. 250 more mins, unlimited local, and 3gb of data. Unless you don't need any of it or its excess features, then don't switch. Other than that make the jump and grab the phone. Unless you are patient enough to see what other deals this whole new 2 year code brings. Posted via RS Mobile |
just renewed my contract with rogers $62/month includes: 200 Daytime Minutes Unlimited Evening & Weekends starting at 6 Unlimited Incoming Local calls Caller ID, Voicemail, Name Display 6GB Data 2500 Text Messages Ended up going with the S4 for $150 to renew on a 2 year term.:fullofwin: |
^^ sounds like my plan that I got a few years ago, except I've got 300 weekday minutes and unlimited texting (not like it matters) 200 Wkday & Unlimited Eve/Wknd 17.50 Savings: Data Discount -5.00 iPhone Value Pack w/Cdn Text* 16.79 Unlimited Incoming Calls 10.00 Savings: Incoming Calling Option -10.00 100 Bonus Minutes - 0.00 HCZ Emergency Address Update 0.00 6GB Data Service Plan 30.00 Tethering Access 0.00 6pm Early Evening Calling 7.00 Savings: Early Evening Option -7.00 Gov't Regulatory Recovery Fee 2.13 Call Forwarding/Call Transfer 3.00 Savings: Call Forwarding/ Call Transfer -3.00 ............. Total before taxes: $62.17 |
Yup I have somewhat of the same plan as well. 200mins unlimited after 6 and weekends text, caller ID, VM My10 call waiting/forewarding 6gb data just under $65 after taxes. i called in 3 times and they only managed to give me $10 credit towards my account. However, my contract doesn't end until Nov 2015 :P |
I pay $58.14 after taxes for the Super 6GB plan with CI. $15 credit which ends Dec 2013 and my contract just got renewed in May around. They wouldn't budge on the credits when I tried to talk to them but I needed a new phone. |

renewed mine a month or so back. $60 unlimited call, text, picture 3gb data caller id |
plans getting pricey. |
changed my plan from $17.50 – 200 mins 6PM E/W $10 – value pack - CID/VM/1000 sms $30 – 6 GB data ($10) – data discount =$47.5 + tax to $20 – basic plan = basic voicemail, caller id, unlimited pics/video/sms messages, 1000 incoming local minutes, 250 canadian long distance, 350 weekday mins, unlimited 6PM E/W, unlimited rogers to rogers nationwide ($4) – savings per month (20% off basic plan kept on indefinitely) $30 – 6 GB data (lost my $10 data credit but I no longer need the 10$ value pack so it works out) =$46 + tax Not sure why or when but I was sent to the business department because one of the reps had put a corporate code on my account. But yay I save $1.50+tax a month for a slightly better plan :fullofwin: |

So I called Rogers today after noticing that a few of my credits are going to expire in the next month or so. Got to a rep and asked him to see if I would be able to renew/reinstate these credits as I signed up for another 3-year term a few months back. Was paying: $37.22 taxes in 150 minutes unlimited text messaging caller display/voicemail 6gb data (I had 6 different credits amounting to $43.00, 3 of them having an expiration) I was told that Rogers does not stack credits anymore and the best alternative was to bring me to a modern day plan. However, the modern day equivalent costs $95 and there is no way I will be paying for that. The rep simply told me that I should leave my plan as is since I'd still be better off. We ended the conversation with him telling me to touch base with him some time around Christmas as new plans/promotions will emerging then. He did give me a couple of bonuses but these will only last for 3 months. The bonuses he gave: Unlimited incoming calls 250 long distance minutes but my plan now costs $69 taxes in after all my credits form the original plan expire I feel hurt... butt hurt.. |
Curious, when those 3 credits expires, what would your monthly rate be? Unless you exceed 150 mins often, 32 dollars more isn't even worth those 2 upgrades. Or do those 3 credits amount to 30 bucks anyways? Posted via RS Mobile |
a plan anywhere close to Rien's would be a miracle lol which reminds me, my contract will end in November, so I will need to start calling in soon. |

With the new policy kicking in it seems like plans with data are a minimum $55, is there anything cheaper? |
