Anyone know how to re-format iPhone? I want to delete EVERYTHING off my iphone.

1 word. Buggy! haha been trying it for a day now.


The bad:
- Contacts didn't sync, favourites lost (when i synced back to my pc, not sure about mac) Photos and notes were still there, and bookmarks.
- It's frozen on me so many times, when i'm using it and when I'm unlocking.
- Texting is laggy once again, a la 1.1.1 style. Several times just hanging in the middle of a word
- General interface scrolling is slower, in menus, etc (Minus ipod, which seems to scroll just as smoothly)

The good:
- Contact search is cool, but SLOW
- Calendar, better iCal support (different calendars)
- scientific calculator is nice
- built in screen shot function
- SAVING pictures from safari is finally something worthwhile for me.
- ability to check multiple mails and delete or move to seperate folders is definitely a plus.




Didn't test exchange, which is I suppose the only reason you'd want to use this buggy software.

Am I going to keep it? Probably for a few more days. No 3rd party software kinda sucks although i find less and less time nowadays to play with my phone.

I'm watching the iPhone roadmap presentation...some of these features are pretty crazy. Too bad most of them won't be fully supported here in Canada until someone carries it.

Damn, looks like 2.0 firmware is not ready to be used yet. :( Buggy = the lose.

which car adapter work for iphone? I plugged the one I had before for ipod, now it doesn't work.. no music comming out of the car speakers. People have been saying Belkin's tunecast works very good, any suggestions?

hey guys, recently got an iphone, unlocked through ilibertyx, and works fine except some issue. Maybe its common but thought I asked. Is there a way to disable edge or will of awqtlys be on? For the google maps to work, can it work through cell triagulation would it always be through wifi/edge? Second question, when you are at home, what kind of encryption do u use for wifi to work? I use wpa2 and my laptop connects fine but the iPhone doesn't seem to connect to it? I used it at sfu and typing this message at
blenz so I know it works. Would I have to set it to a different protocol? Tried searching so any help is appreciated

Id like to see a video recording feature or even a zoom feature on the camera.

there are apps that you can download to get those feature,, my friend's iphone has a app that can zoom and stuff but i forgot the name of it and for recording you can try showtime but you need to get the full version.

cameraPro is the one your thinking about. but honestly, it isnt that good at all, but worth a try.

+Kardboard+ does your "locate me" feature on your map work for 1.1.4? mine doesn't, I'm assuming a hack is involved for jailbroken phones

Works fine after you install Navizon. If you used ZiPhone or something to get to 1.1.4, it should already work without installing Navizon. Tried that on my buddy's iPhone after we upgraded it from....1.0 :lol

k, i dont know what Version i have on my Iphone, but when i plug it in for itunes, its asks me if i want to update to the newest version "1.1.4" i think, should i do that?

and will this update also fix my time stamp problem for txt received txt msgs.

and, is there any way i can improve battery life?

Don't update it if you don't know what you're doing. You'll need to make sure everything is backed up before (photos included) and you'll need ZiPhone to unlock it after you update....which you shouldn't do the "normal" way through iTunes.
