Yeah I got it and it works so everybody that has issues with their SMS times make sure you install the SMS timefix from the previous page!

Restore to 1.1.4 and use iPlus2.0b to jailbreak, activate and unlock your phone. It's so easy Michelle...it took less than 5 minutes and all you have to do is type in "iplus -u" haha

babyshortie 03-18-2008 11:39 AM

^ if u can tell me enough good points of why i should..then MAYBE. haha..although being able to make icons wiggle is pretty cute

Gh0stRider 03-18-2008 11:39 AM

When i go into Installer it refreshes sources 1/2 way then kicks me back to the home screen. Whats going on?

Double-tap-Home-button shortcut, stable, less bugs, improved Google Maps, and the chick-magnet-ing wigglying icons. :D

Just wondering wat would be the easiest way to update my iphone.
My current firmware is 1.1.2

Do i simply restore to 1.1.4 and use ziphone or iplus ?
To unlock?

Thanks for your help.

Shorty20 03-18-2008 02:48 PM

i dont have experience with iplus but ziphone was really easy to use. Literally just a click away from unlock.

Is there any programs that lets my transfer my contacts from my iPhone to my SIM card? I dont want to go through the torture of entering in all my contacts again...

^isim

Shorty20 03-18-2008 06:31 PM

i know iSIM but it doesn't let me transfer from iPhone to SIM because i didn't pay for it.

Yes.

Best would be to do a DFU restore so that you wipe everything, otherwise some funky errors might come up.

Like not being able to use it in iTunes lol

iPhone is much more stable, less crashes, IMPROVED battery life, better google maps...basically everything kardboard said.

The improved battery life alone was worth spending the 3-5 minutes it took to flash.

Depends which bootloader you have. If you have bootloader 3.9 than ZiPhone is fine. If you have bootloader 4.6 than you're better off using iPlus because iPlus SAFELY downgrades the bootloader with no issues. ZiPhone force downgrades your bootloader so you're unable to get it back to 4.6. iPlus uses a fake bootloader downgrade so it can be recovered back to 4.6 if you need to in the future.

Hey Kev, so i added ringtones to itunes and they are in the ringtone section, but when I connect the iphone for syncing, it doesnt list any of my ringtones. What am I doing wrong?

I had the same problem. It just doesn't seem to work. I just use SSH to upload the ringtones directly into the ringtones folder and it works fine now.

I think you need to have 1.1.2 or newer firmware for it to work.

Make sure you go into the ringtones tab under your iPhone inside iTunes and make sure they're all selected to sync.

Gh0stRider 03-19-2008 06:27 PM

None of the ringtones show up in the tab

It's asking me for a password.
