I have 8GB iPhone (from November 2007) and the version is 1.0.2 and it's unlocked since the first day I got it from the states.
How can I update to 1.1.4?? Can someone teach me how to upgrade it which bricking it?
I heard it's simple to update. I am using a Mac, so if anyone can send a website or programs on how to upgrade it, that would be WONDERFUL!

Mac Only

1) Sync with iTunes to backup your data.
2) Download and install iNdependence (latest beta): http://code.google.com/p/independence/
3) Put your iPhone in DFU mode via iNdependence (last tab).
4) Download the 1.1.4 firmware file: http://appldnld.apple.com.edgesuite....2_Restore.ipsw
5) Back in iTunes, it should ask you to restore your iPhone as it's in DFU mode; get rid of the message box but DON'T click "Restore."
6) Hold down the Alt key and then click "Restore."
7) Select the big firmware file you downloaded earlier.
8) Let it do its thing. I recommend grabbing a Timmuu Hortonsuuu doubulru-doubulru.
9) When it's done, go back to iNdependence and jailbreak, activate, and unlock it. Despite what the message box says, just unlock it again (even if it's already unlock, no harm done).
10) Restore your profile in iTunes. Rejoice, and reinstall your apps lol

has anyone tried signing up for the $7 mobile internet from rogers? i signed up today and it works, i didn't tell them i had an iphone though, they have a sony ericsson on my account that i got awhile back. so hopefully i don't any crazy charges from it though. i know the website says its only supposed to be for rogers devices.

I think it'll detect that it's not on the Sony Ericsson, as they can detect the unique IMEI of your iPhone. It'll work, but expect to pay.

None of my calls goto voicemail. It just keeps ringing and ringing (10X) and then cuts out. How do I fix that? I want calls to goto voicemail after 4-5 rings.

I think there is a fix for that in the Tweaks(1.1.4) from the installer.

Any of you know how to restore just the Camera Roll to the way it originally was before a DFU restore (i.e. complete restore)?

I keep my picture album separate from Camera Roll so throwing the camera pics into a folder to sync is not a solution for me.

Hmm...don't think you can do that, at least it's always cleared my Camera Roll when I try it. :(

Have no idea what virginize is, but i just followed those exact instructions on the website.

Better to virginize first by using the dev team's virginizer program from installer.

And you started with a unlocked 1.0.2 iphone?
