I suggest getting an adapter on ebay and plugging on your own headphones.. I got both setups and the other sounds way better with SE HPM-70 earbuds.

I got them this morning and I didn't like the fit that much. I'm use to my JVC Marshmellows and how they fit nice and snug inside my ear. These don't feel like they fit all the way in so there's no noise isolation. The mic is placed underneath your neck so it's not in the same spot as the iPhone ones.

They're ok but if I could go back in time I would have just ordered an adapter from eBay and kept using my JVC Marshmellows. :o

Something like this (http://www.amazon.com/Shure-MPA-3C-M.../dp/B000UD205K) might work but $40 is absurd.

I want one like that that's about 2 feet long (since my headphones have a 1 foot cord...made to work with MP3 players with remotes) with a flexible head...any ideas? Every single one seems to be too fucking long.

That's ridiculous. I got mine from under $10 and it's more than good enough. Which one did you have, Ronin? The one that they're also selling on CNN.cn? Cuz I have that one. :p

Uh, I don't know...bought it off eBay for $10. White...silver button on the mic.

Someone find me a good quality one that won't break in a few weeks.

Oh geez, I had that one first. It's crap, broke it, then fixed it with white electrical tape (lol), and now it stays home. I got this one on eBay afterwards, and it's been awesome for me:

I found one! Sold at RS sponsor JP Cellular. Bendy bit at the plug to keep it from fraying AND it's not absurdly long! If it was black, it would be totally perfect but I'll settle for white. Only $8 too.

I finally decide to get an iphone recently. I asked a couple of my friends. One of them saying that his friend got fined $700 when he bringing in an iphone from the states even he declares it. The reason is that Canadian is not allowed to buy iphone from the states or use it in Canada, that's kinda what my friend told me. Is that true? I only heard that people only need to pay duty and tax when crossing the boarder. BTW... my friends said the reception of iphone is really weak and the call suddenly cuts off in the middle of the call. Anyone experiences it? Thanks for any inputs!

That is the biggest crock of cow feces in the world!! I got my first iPhone back in October and to make sure of anything i should be aware of I asked my buddy who works for Canada Customs and deals with this stuff everyday.

His exact words were, "We're custom agents. Not the morale police."

He goes on the say that they don't care if a product is available in canada or not as long as you declare it and pay the appropriate taxes. After the dust settles, it should cost you no more than $500. ($399US x 8.9%WA taxes x 12%CDN taxes)

As for reception, I've never had any problems but if you're concerned you COULD get one of these ugly ass cases that'll boost reception

Have you guys seen those black replacements for the silver-back part of the iphone? I kind of want to do it, but I don't know how to dismantle my phone.

So I dropped my iphone headphones out of my pocket when I got out of my car, and then someone parked beside me and ran them over. Now I want to get a new headset.

So you guys don't like the helium ones... what would you suggest. It'd be great if I could get a headset/earphones rather than just the latter.

I don't know how good these are but somebody on redflagdeals purchased them and is currently waiting for them to arrive.

http://www.radtech.us/Products/ProCa...neHeadset.aspx

They LOOK nice and the mic/music controller looks pretty slick.

If I didn't already purchase the Helium ones I'd probably try those out since they seem to be noise isolating buds as well.

Ronin 04-07-2008 08:13 PM

I prefer my own buds.

Oshin 04-07-2008 09:10 PM

whats the best theme u guys got? Share them! Im tired of my LV theme

Your buds don't have a mic on them do they? That's the main reason I got the Heliums because it becomes a pain in the ass having to remove the earbuds to answer a call.

I'm using the Realize theme. I really like the icons he uses in his themes.

It has a bendy part so the stupid thing doesn't fray like my old set.

$8 at JP Cellular. Attach good buds rather than shitty, cheap ones.

Found another thread on RFD.

Supposedly these are VERY good at noise canceling. Trebles and bass is good and for only $4 you can't go wrong.
