does 1.1.3 have the maps function, and all the new programs or is it 1.1.4? about to get a new iphone, but let's say it's 1.1.3 and it doesn't have those programs and if i upgrade to 1.1.4, should i unlock it at 1.1.3 then upgrade or upgrade it first then unlock/jb it? thanks for help

Shorty20 04-08-2008 08:11 PM

Upgrade first, its less work.

604_EJ1 04-08-2008 08:25 PM

wouldn't i need to activate it in order for itunes to recognize it as an iphone? lets say, 1.1.3 and want to upgrade to 1.1.4, would itunes recognize it without activation?

Anyone using the JABRA BT8040 headset?

Does A2DP work with iphones?

604_EJ1 04-12-2008 09:42 AM

A2DP doesn't work at all AFAIK, unless software hacks?

does anyone find the iphone particularly annoying when you're driving?
considering the fact that it's touch screen, but from what i've heard from my friends who has/still owns an iphone..they think it's great!

Shorty20 04-12-2008 01:10 PM

Not really, it has a pretty nice headphone that allows you to answer/hang up your phone while you drive with a click. Unless you're texting then I wouldn't recommend doing that while you're driving :P

I just upgraded to 1.1.3 and for some reason "Customize" no longer works... sure, I can run it and everything but when I try to change the icons and such it doesn't change.. ?

i'm way too lazy to read all 36 pages..so..besides the downside of not being able to txt while you're driving, and some software problems..

i've heard many rumors about apple batteries being bad..i have an ipod myself, and it's alright sometimes; but overtime it seems to have depreciated..i think..lol! but yeah, how is it on the iphone?!

the iphone battery isnt all that bad and it really determines the way you use it. Say your a guy that surfs the web alot outside while using wifi, it really consumes battery but isnt that much. For me i use the wifi to check something quick like emails and movie time etc which takes around 20-30min and i can still not charge my iphone til the next day or more. It usually last 2days for me and if i dont do anything to it 3 days. Also txting while you're driving isnt an issue for me because I dont do that =) Pay attention to the road more fellas! and software issues currently isnt 100% cooperative but anyhow the things i use on iphone are fine to me ;)

my themes isnt working on my 1.13...
whats the best MSN program for iphone so far? i'm too lazy to fix apollo....

Gh0stRider 04-12-2008 06:58 PM

If you need to send a txt msg, please pull over and do whatever you gotta do and then continue driving. Don't pose a risk to other motorist out there, just for a txt msg.

I like the meebo interface (www.meebo.com), or the Windows Live Messenger Mobile one (https://mobile.passport.net/si/defau....1027.0&ec=e21). The latter is clean and quick.

Ditto. You're a danger to yourself and others, and the texts can wait. Safe driving can't wait!

Don't be a moron and text while you're driving because you pose a risk to other motorists.

of course, just use ur data cable/charger and plug the iphone with your comp and windows should auto detect and there will be a window popping up and asking you about transfering photos from iphone or you can just goto my computer and scroll down u should see iphone and u just click it, u should see all ur photos taking from iphone.
