what store can price match London Drugs offer?

But basically what everyone is reporting is that there's a bad of yellow on the left side of the screen that fades away as you get closer to the middle.

Its also more severe on some devices than others and as far as I know Samsung is refusing the acknowledge this as a defect.

EDIT: Some ppl are reporting that updating to KG2/KG3 fixes it

Newer firmware fixes the yellow tint. It's just a colour balance issue in the kernel. It affects the entire screen.

The unlock posted on a previous page is a full carrier unlock or? Will I be able to use it in Europe? I'm pretty clueless when it comes to phone bands and shit.

unlock is unlocked. however you phone must be able to use the frequencies in Europe. thats a hardware issue.

Anyone have a detailed step by step instruction on how to root the phone. I've read the forums and man im fucking confused. Which Rom? Which Kernell? What program do I need on my computer?

I'm in the same boat as you, I've been reading when I can at work and I'm super lost. I dunno wtf a kernel is or what it does, what a rom does..

You just need to take the time to go through it.
I already briefly explained the differences between a kernel/rom/modem here. Once you understand the differences, then things should start coming together.

How to root has also already been covered in this thread...but to save you a bit of time, start with this ROM,.

There are a couple of reasons why I suggest VillainROM for beginners:

1. His ROMs do NOT include Kernel and Modem. So flashing them separately is a good learning experience.
2. His instructions are very detailed.

Some advice:
Instead of following each step blindly, try to understand what you're doing in each step and why. Once you know what and why you're doing it, you'll be able to flash all the goodies @ XDA

Call them. Most LD's only have a couple in stock.

Apparently reports on RFD are saying the LD price was an error and head office info is trickling down to store level saying it has to be activated/and or they cant sell it at the 499 price. Quickly try and get yours tonight from the evening crew as they may not have read the memo. People who have had theirs on hold had received calls back stating the price isn't valid anymore.

Mikroft: Do you think its a worth upgrade over a Nexus S? I waited for that Nexus til the day it released and love it but when i ran the phones side by side the SII was just unbelievably fast. The touchwiz is kinda hindering performance right now though...

Alright fuck the Glas screen. Too expensive. I'm just gonna sell my ultra optics when I receive it and go without a screen protector. It's gorilla glass after all and I had no problems going without a screen protector for my GS1.

It's so tough to find a nice case though.
