Agreed that Firefox is garbage. That's why its beta. Recommendations are dolphin hd, miren,opera or xscope.

Anyone having problems adding msn on their social hub? Keeps on popping up errors when i try to add.

if anyone is looking for a fix to get the camera to work for skype on your phone let me know. i got the file that fixes that issue

Why don't people use the stock Gingerbread browser? I find it to does the job well on my Nexus One. Occasionally I load up DolphinHD on my tablet, but otherwise I actually find that browsing on the default browser does the job fine (heck, I like it even better than the iOS Safari browser!).

Just tried out Go Launcher EX today and I have to say I like it much better than Launcher Pro.

Yeah, themes for Go launcher are pretty nice.
Was using Color Dots but just switched to Stained Glass today.

Just found out about desktop transition effects and really digging the cube(inside) transition.


These are my lockscreen and desktop for now. Still tinkering with the layout.
Oh and if you do use the widgets from Go Launcher, get the transparent skin. It'll look THAT much better.

Why don't you post YOUR settings since your battery life isn't great...Then we can guide you on how to tweak your settings to get the most out of your battery.

- brightness levels, data syncs, background data, 3G, wifi, location etc.etc.

Brightness is low, automatic turned off.
3G on
Gps on (i think it's only used when that circle icon thing blinks on top)
wifi off.
background data -linkedin, twitter, fb, google (under accounts and sync?)

LOL. The battery life on this phone is amazing as it is. I just tweaked it a bit. I also autosync only 4x a day and have brightness almost at the lowest.

The best part is, even though the brightness is at the lowest, you can't even tell. It's still SO vivid!

MiKrofT, I'm having troubles trying to understand these firmware updates. I'm still running Gingerbread 2.3.3 and my firmware is KF3...

There is supposed to be a few new updates (particularly one that updates me to 2.3.4) but when I connect to Kies, it says "Software is up to date."

Is everyone else running 2.3.4?

That's cause 2.3.4 builds are currently leaked releases and not official. They also have better battery life due to android os bug fix. Kf3 is one of the slightly older versions. My phone came with kg2 outta the box. I'm running 2.3.4 kg3 and will soon be flashing kg6. The best rom to go with is villainrom. Its close to stock with some optimization to make it better.
