Not really, I still get 15-25 hours with pretty heavy use.
I've never just left it blinking for a long time though, it may. =S

No extra battery drain here. My LED's stay lit, they dont blink.
However this was when it was working :okay:

TypeRNammer 12-01-2011 12:38 PM

Well finally picked up a S2, currently doing the unlock at the moment.

!Yaminashi 12-01-2011 02:43 PM

Damnit I cant figure out why BLN all of a sudden wont work. The LED test notification works perfectly.

Nobody's had this problem?

muteki 12-01-2011 02:44 PM

^ Reinstall?

!Yaminashi 12-01-2011 02:51 PM

Tried that too with no luck
EDIT: Figured it out, I think when whatsapp updated the other day, under the led notification setting it was set to "none"

!MiKrofT 12-01-2011 04:02 PM

Bln set to blinking drains more battery. I have my just as a solid that turns off after 20min.

Just wanted to share my opinion of the SGP Neo Hybrid EX case I just got. It's a 2-piece case with a silicon bumper that wraps around the phone first and a plastic bumper that you fit around the silicon after. Plastic bumper has cut outs for all important ports and also the volume/power buttons.

Pros:
- Exposed rear allows you to feel original backing of phone and you can even remove the battery cover with the case on. Also won't be prone to the 'sagging' problem of the original SGP Neo Hybrid
- Adds very little bulk to the phone but yet still elevates the rear just enough to keep the camera from touching the surface while providing bumper protection throughout
- Power and volume buttons are VERY easy to press and feels even better than pressing the buttons without a case on (my power button is a bit mushy to begin with..the silicon layer in this case seems to make it easier for whatever reason)
- Comes with SGP Ultra Crystal Clear screen protector
- Cutouts are all aligned properly

Cons:
- Exposed back (I personally don't care)
- Plastic bumper feels REALLY cheap and is VERY thin (I can probably snap it in two with very little effort)
- Will probably not offer much protection for people looking to really protect their phone from accidental drops
- Has that stupid cut-out on the upper right corner of the case
- Expensive for what it is (~$25)

Overall, I really like the case. I had a CaseMate iCase Pro previously, which I liked, but it made the buttons way too difficult to press which is a dealbreaker for me. I'm usually quite careful with my phone, and prefer to use it without a case at all.
If anyone is looking for a bumper case that retains the slim profile, has easy to press buttons, and generally likes the phone without a case on but wants "some" protection when putting the phone down on a table, you can't really go wrong with this one.

is the unlock process the same for the galaxy s2 x?

JordanLee 12-01-2011 07:22 PM

S2X requires a code as Samsung smartened up :)

Thanks for this review, I was looking at another minimalistic case option that covers all parts of the trim, I'm assuming you ordered straight from SGP or on ebay? I dont know of any Canadian retailers that sell SGP

Got the SGP Neo Hybrid EX case to go along with my brush metal battle door.

Have to agree 100% with what kb08 said...
The material on my $10 Momax case feel way more durable than what your getting with the SGP case.
Dont think it will protect as well as it too.

^:h5:

I've got the same metal battery door.
Phone feels soooo much better now in my hands.
I hate squeaky plastic.

I ordered from some dude in Korea on Ebay. Shipped to me in exactly a week.

I do remember seeing some SGP cases at that place in Aberdeen..SK Mobile. I didn't like what they had there a few weeks back, but maybe they got some decent stuff in now!

Not officially.

Man, I'm tempted to get a galaxy nexus just for the screen alone. But alot of online reviewers are saying its hard to reach the notification bar with one hand :okay:

Flashing Siyah Kernel 2.3. Had some weird freezing issue on 2.1.1 that would happen after being on for about 5 days. Using SIO + SmartassV2 for now. Also decreased min. mhz to 100 instead of 200. Might go back to SIO + OnDemand later as those are the recommended governor/scheduler from the coder.

!MiKrofT 12-04-2011 02:42 PM

So far so good. I'm liking this kernel. Recommend wiping cache and dalvik cache after flashing a kernel. Seems to help.

ANyone still use Widget Locker Lockscreen? I've been seeing some reviews on the market saying that it force closes a lot. Any help would be appreciated.

TIA

!Yaminashi 12-06-2011 08:30 AM

If youre looking for a decent lock screen app try magiclocker. There are different "themes" you can download and the paid themes are pretty decent. I'm using an android4.0 pro theme right now and you can customize the shortcuts similar to widgetlocker.

App support is awesome as well, my theme updated automatically over the weekend and I wasnt happy with something in the update so I emailed the dev. Within 8 hours a new update was available for download :)
