You can't use titanium backup without root.

i've rooted and unlocked. Proceeded to flash villianrom. Then i can't use titanium backup? Im puzzled lol. Did i need to re root after flashing villianrom?

how stable is CM7.1 on S2...cuz i read its unstable and villainrom is still the most stable rom out there

What's so good about villainrom anyway?
I used it when I had my first Galaxy S2 few months back. Didn't find anything special about it.

Now that I have a Galaxy S2 again, I've been using MIUI Rom (for the first two weeks) and am using CheckROM Revolution now.
MIUI is just amazingly beautiful and much more elegent.
CheckROM Revolution is much more customizable with the build-in Kitchen.

So, could someone enlighten what's so great about the VillainROM?(Serious question)

I'm running villain 3.0 with ninphetamine 2.1.3 and the thing i've been noticing is standby battery usage is utterly amazing.
I got push email, one email checking every 15 mins, line, shazam, whatsapp, fb, words with friends updating constantly
...and on standby i can last 60+ hours (extrapolated estimate of course)...

edit: oh yea..no battery mods either..screen at approx 25% brightness

60+ hours? No way... At least not on 3g. I'd have to see a screenshot to believe that lol.

Villainrom is basically an optimized and tweaked version of the stock rom. All changes are underneath so there are no actual visible differences really.

hmmm i'll try not using my phone at all for 24 hours and leave it on standby and see what numbers turn out lol..

I could see maybe 48 hours MAX with very light usage, but 60+ hours is impossible unless youre on flight mode.

I say this because even on days where I use my phone lightly, at the end of the day I'm still under 80%, and thats with my apps only refreshing every 1-2 hours, email poll every 2 hours, a few phone calls/whatsapp, some light browsing etc as well as being undervolted and screen down to almost the lowest setting

There is no way you'll get 60 hours of battery on your phone, regardless of what rom you're using.

When I was using MIUI, I was getting over 24hrs give or take 5 with average use. I've posted screen shots already earlier. Keep in mind, this is with full brightness and no power saver modes enabled.

Shazam updates?

Most I ever got was around 31 hours.

I'm not so much about battery life anymore as long as it last me a full day of usage.

My S2 LTE just shipped. Debating if I should keep it, I don't want to pay any rediculous LTE monthly pricing.

Yeah, I know what you mean and I feel the same about cheap batteries.
I'm still waiting for mine but this thread has people reporting their experience and it seems like they get few hours more than the OEM battery which is good enough for me.

Called Rogers. It is possible to use it with 4g data but what's the point if the phone is capable of LTE speeds? They said 2 gb's of LTE data was $35 and 10gb's was $50.
